Confusion always reduces anger. 4. Start singing the national anthem till help arrives or play it on your phones. Every profession has it's own identity.It is Unique in itself.We don't need any bridge course.Most of the population in india is unaware of their oral health.Can u imagine what it takes to be a dentist.Apart from theory ,practical work is the most toughest.At the end of the day,it is the patient's satisfication that makes us proud of what we are.

To all my Dental/Pharma/Nursing friends who feel I have insulted or belittled them or the feild of Dentistry/Pharma/Nursing. Let me first clear this - ALL DENTISTS , PHARMA ARE DOCTORS. Please take a few mins to read this. Wherever possible I have written in comments and responses to Dentists who have gotten offended by the remark made by me clarifying that it's a misunderstanding perhaps due to poor writing and execution of the joke. I have also clearly written that I don't mean anything negative towards Dentists or the community and have nothing but respect. My sister is a Dentist and one of my mentors is a senior Dentist. I usually don't respond to negative comments but here since it's from the fraternity, wherever possible I try to. But it appears as though the 2 second reference said on the video in a context that's completely misunderstood has more weightage than what I say, write or actually believe in reality. Yet I will attempt again to explain to you and you can choose what you would like to stick with The comedy routine was to mock certain aspects of medical practice, that I felt had made it to recent news and discussions - Patient aggression, second opinions, illegal online consutations and the idea of a lateral bridge course to meet shortage of Doctors. In this routine I talk about the Government imposing illegal online consultations and to mock at what the "Government thinks" I mentioned that they feel anyone can become Doctors. So I give an example of Dentists and Nurses and share what I think the "Government thinks" NOT WHAT I THINK. So that I can lead the audience to the final punch that the solution is to make everyone a Doctor and no one gets beaten up. I agree joke construction is not great and of-course since some of you are unhappy, the delivery is not perfect either. (What's confusing is many Dentists have understood and appretiated this very nicely) But please understand this was a satire on the Government from the online consutations routine before and continued to the build up of bridge course. So whatever I am saying is echoing what the Government is thinking (In hind sight could have been delivered better, I agree). I know the value of the Bridge course and personally it's great if more people chip in to improve healthcare, (In fact it would exponentially improve the Government adoption of many bottom of the pyramid medical technologies I have developed), but when I am trying to make people laugh, I am not going to go into a session on the value of bridge course am I? It's a comedy club and I was performing an hour of jokes for which the audience paid for. I had a good Doctor turnout so I picked some recent topics to connect with them and try to make things relatable for them. That's how comedy works. It has to be relatable, and not necessarily what I believe or even true in reality. Jokes are not personal opinions unless otherwise proved as. I am a Sinus surgeon, the bridge course doesn't effect me even remotely. But I know some medical fields like family medicine, Obgyn, physicians may find objection as it eats into their practice. Comedians say things to connect with the audience and I was echoing their frustration with the Government and policy makers so that I can pull out some laughs. Not all jokes are well received by everyone and that's a part of the art. I re-watched the video numerous times to see what's offending some Dentists so much that they feel belittled and insulted. There are two lines in the 3.32 min video "Dentists bridge course se Doctor ban saktey Hein (Which is a fact), akhir daant se Judi Hui body hai, ek hi cheez tho hai (Meaning Dentistry is more than just a teeth, it effects the body as well, which is the principle of oral health)" This is sarcasm on the people who are pushing the bridge course. It's what they think when they are suggesting it. That's what I was trying to communicate. There is no statement saying Dentist are bad, inferior or anything abusive. Neither anything saying Dentists shouldn't do the Bridge course and I am against it. Infact I end it by saying everyone should do the Bridge course and be a Doctor. Why not? That would solve so many issues. The whole routine was to lead to this point. So that no one hits each other. No common man or patient got offended? And I am sure you will agree anatomically the tooth is connected to the body through the roots and when there are dental diseases the whole body is effected as well. So while I personally didn't even have the intention to put Dentists down in any way and I am surprised by the "Sensitivity" (No pun intended) shown by Dentists to a reference, not even meant to be made by me. I am begining to think now that if I ever have to say something about the Khap panchayat and what they think, will that reflect as what I think? In plays and comedy, the writing explores exaggeration and fiction else it won't be comedy. Though I am flattered to feel important enough that my spontaneous joke (written like a day before because it was a recent issue) is being treated like a press conference statement and a legal proof of my actual thoughts, it's a bit frustrating to have to explain something so obvious. And I wouldn't if I don't respect the field of Dentistry. I don't owe anyone any explanation. Yet I think sometimes it's important to clarify knowing fully well that most people just stick to their original point no matter what anyone says. I can see on this KZfaq page, some of those who understood the joke, pain-stickingly trying to explain to the Dentist's that there is nothing to be offended about. It only ended up with Dentists getting offended to a point of cursing and threatening harm, violence. I consider myself lucky that my wife doesn't hold me down to every joke I make on so many topics like Tinder even though I am not on it, she knows these are jokes and I am trying to make people laugh. Comedians experiment with all sorts of topics, some work and some don't. That's the part of the art. There is not end to "Don't make fun of such topics" and neither there is any rule to explore humour only in restricted topics that only the whole public approves. That would leave people with no topic. There is humour that can be explored in any situation and those who appretiate humour should watch it. This is a personal stand up comedy page with a collection of my jokes. If you don't like them then move on to something else and watch whatever connects with you. Trying to force fit my jokes as a thought I believe is not going to bring good to anyone. I don't know what more effort I can show to clarify. Hope this long note helps. If it doesn't you are free to believe what I said for those two seconds in the video. I cant really control that. My friend from Harvard who is a PhD in human behavior has given to me in writing that despite this written note by me, in full awareness, as a public statement where I write "I respect Dentist and the field of Dentistry and the misunderstanding of belittling is a result of bad joke writing and delivery, which I take full responsibility for" STILL people who choose to be offended will stick to the 2 second reference in the video and continue to justify why they were offended and probably also get offended to this attempt of changing their mind. They would also write things like "Stop trying to convince us and accept you hate us or delete the video + cuss words" because negativity sprouts from something inside. Maybe this video has just brought it out. Your reaction is your entitlement. Help me prove her wrong or your responses strengthen her study and go into research that will conclude that people with negativity remain negative no matter what. I am sorry that I could not deliver my thoughts in the routine more effectively, though it worked well for the audience who attended it live. Lesson to learn. Another chapter for my book on failures. Take home message : I have nothing but respect for Dentists/Pharma/Nursing and the field of Dentistry/Pharma/Nursing. None of my jokes are a reflection of what I actually think. These jokes were written with the sole purpose to make people laugh. But I understand that I can't make everyone laugh. Those who don't find my jokes funny, please don't make the mistake of coming back to my channel again and waste your time. Do something more productive, something that emits positivity. Cheers

With the ongoing doctor slaughter in West Bengal during the last couple of weeks and the horrendous questioning of residents by the media in Bihar I am forced re-think my choice I made at the tender age of 18. People told me it would be tough, and you would earn as you grow older and wiser, but no one told me that I would be fighting a losing battle. A battle I am fighting with myself. This battle just doesn’t include doctor related matters like getting the patient better or making a spot on diagnosis, delivering the apt treatment at the correct time , the ability to deny treatment and transfer to a doctor who is better equipped to handle complicated matters, I am fighting a daily battle with myself and questioning the naïve decision I made at 18. Do I want to continue to treat patients in this scenario? Every day is a challenge, each day we learn a little something from our patients. It is saddening to see the media question encephalitis or encephalopathy to a HOD in Bihar after no medical basis or understanding for the terminology they are using. Unable to differentiate between a symptom and a diagnosis. It is hilarious to see the media questioning the sanitary and aseptic precautions in hospitals when they do not know the protocol as we can see them not following it on camera. Do I want to be questioned by those who do not understand system and its importance? Let me remind the media “to know the system you have to be a part of the system”. It is disheartening to see a medical professional (MBBS) belittling a Dental Professional in the name of stand-up comedy. If a Dental Professional does not understand cardiology well, a medical professional does not intricately understand the root canal system of a molar tooth and thus mutual respect for the other is being lost. Do I want to be a part of the system which has no respect for each other? I question myself yet again. I come from a background where most of my immediate friends are NOT doctors and it was disheartening to see that they were so busy with their lives that they were ignorant of the strikes as a whole. They knew what was happening in Sudan and HongKong but little did they know about the Bihar and Bengal stories. Every time I am called in for a free second opinion consultation or a recommendation of a fellow doctor. I do not ask them to design my website for free or design my clinic space for free so why do you expect me to give you opinions for free? Just because its health related or because I took a Hippocratic oath. So dear friends let me remind you that we doctors also fall under the Consumers Act; So you as patients are consumers thus have to pay in full for the services provided to you. And yet again I question myself - Do I want to want to keep giving free opinions all my life or fighting out the fees I charge for my skill that I gave up my late teenage and early adulthood acquiring? In this day and age of self awareness and mutual respect. Where has it all disappeared ? With so much on the plate how does a young 21-23 year old adult make life saving decisions for other people? With all these questions booming at large I ask my self again DO I WANT TO CONTINUE TO BE A DOCTOR IN THIS COUNTRY? I wish my questions could be answered and I could put an end to this conflict in my head. Online consultations were not illegal , its permissibility was just not clear. But today government regulations have non-ambiguously permitted it in India. And teleconsultation is really great and important.

Dentists n nurses ka syllabus me difference hota hai .. a lot of difference .. dentists learn general anatomy ,physiology , biochemistry, pathology , microbiology ,pharmacology, general medicine and general surgery and dental can gives local anesthesia in their 3rd yr of BDS .
