Lucid, unbiased, and inspiring. This is deserving of more viewership that it is currently getting. Do you have information about the current landscape of training in General Surgery for IMGs with some experience from their home country?. Much blessings.

Assalamoalaikum dr nauman Thanks so much for this There are so many groups that paint a very bleak picture when comes to pursuing a career in the UK. Some say plab's not worth it anymore, it's useless and there are no more jobs available now. It gets quite depressing specially when I'm about to sit for plab 1 in Feb next year. This video has bolstered my confidence to keep on chasing my dream 👌👍😎

Great video and very informative! Also you mentioned at the end one can go to Canada after 8-10 years of experience. I’ve heard that generally Canada doesn’t prefer to choose IMG doctors and there are way too many exams. So I mean in the future is it really possible to work as a doctor in Canada?

I don't know about other specialities but in my speciality, which is family medicine, you do need any further exams :)

Will the government ban doctors coming to UK from bringing their family partners or this new rules doesn't apply to doctors?

Minimum salary threshold doesn’t apply to Health and Care sector visa neither does Immigration Health Surcharge. Not brining in dependent rule also not applicable to doctors. It is applicable to care workers- people working in social care. Basically nothing has changed for doctors and is unlikely to change in near future as government has achieved its target- to make migration numbers look artificially better before Elections. Dependants means Wife/Partner and Children Obviously less care Home Staff would mean Care Homes Collapse and more patients stuck in Hospital because not enough carers for Pacakage of care and Lesser Care Homes, the implications of this decision would be felt soon and likely it would be reversed after Elections. People should be careful in spreading news without understanding the technicalities.
