In this video, I discuss disc herniations, one of the most common causes of lower back pain. I'll review and explain an example lumbar spine MRI showing a disc herniation. Many times, disc herniations go away on their own and patients experience a resolution of their symptoms. However, if symptoms continue or worsen, surgery may be the next step. Be sure to discuss all of your options with your physician.
