My guest today is Dr. Roger Seheult. He completed medical school, residency, and fellowship at Loma Linda University, and his level of expertise is absolutely incredible. Dr. Roger is quadruple board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He currently works at Banning Speciality Care Center (Beaver Medical Group), located in Banning, California, and he’s an Associate Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
In addition to his busy life as a physician and professor, Dr. Roger is also the co-founder of MedCram - a medical education company where his mission is to demystify medical concepts for people around the world. MedCram offers a dramatically more efficient, engaging, fun, and lasting way to learn and review medical topics.
There’s been a lot of information surrounding COVID-19 on the internet - some true, some false. But by tuning into MedCram, you can count on reliable, helpful information every single time. And what’s more - Dr. Roger explains it in such a way that makes it easy to understand.
I was thrilled to have him on The School of Greatness, and our conversation was so good and informative that I had to spilt it up into two episodes. Make sure to check back this Wednesday to listen to Part Two of our conversation.
But for now, join me on Episode 1,063 to learn the science behind boosting our immune system and fighting COVID-19 with Dr. Roger Seheult.

I grew up in Duluth Minnesota. I lived there until 1995 and went to Seattle, left Washington last year and came to Kentucky. To get away from the insane politics out there. I never did get Covid I’m kind of like the doctor if I had it I didn’t really know I had it. I was tired for a couple weeks but I wasn’t sick I couldn’t say I was sick. So if Covid was trying to get me my immune system was able to fight it off. I took zinc vitamin D3, vitamin C quercetin with bromelain long before Covid came along.

We also used prayer as well. She did so and in seven in days days she was completely recovered, and was able to return to work.

Mucinex is good if it didn’t have a cough suppressant because if there is something in the lungs the body uses coughing to expel it you do not want those things to remain in the body. It’s never a good idea to try to outsmart your body because it actually knows what it’s doing that’s the only thing I would’ve changed about what was done and she might’ve recovered even faster than seven days but I’m glad she’s OK

It's always been known that vitamin D, at the very least will help the body fight against coronavirus type illnesses. So the question begging to be asked is, when populations have been instructed to be locked down, why wasn't everyone told to take suppliments, eat certain foods and stand in the garden for an hour each day? Being locked up for months is a sure fire way to weaken peoples immune systems.

Denise Cottrell mustard plasters is what people used for chest infections when I was young. It is made with dry mustard flour and water. Mom says two heaping tablespoons mustard, 2 cups flour mixed together and add water and mix it well. Start with 1 1/2 cups water. It depends on the flour used. It should be like a soft putty. Place it between two pieces of thick flannel cloth. Will need a towel on the patients chest and then put the mustard plaster on their chest and cover them up with blankets to keep the heat in. It gets hot so check on it that the person doesnt get burnt especially if they fall asleep. They will sweat and this is what knocks out the virus. Mom said she took cod liver oil, so she got the Vitamin A along with the Vitamin D. Can get it in capsules to help prevent the unpleasant burping up of it. We all got a teaspoon a day. Yuk.

Mother would wrap us up in a sheet, then a wool blanket and a quilt on top of this, as well as a hot water bottle and have us drink warm rose-hip or chamomile tea to “ burn “ the virus out of us until the “ fever broke “ ( fever was determined by the back of her hand on our forehead, armpits or groin area ). No food during this time. Afterwards, we would then “ cool down “ in a tepid to cool bath and drink cool liquids to rehydrate us and only home-made bone broth, then soup to “ eat “. I sleep now with a heating pad every night ( with a cotton hospital pad between myself and the heating pad ) to keep from getting a burn ( turning it back on as I sense it cooling down ) and have a glass of room temp., water by the bed to remain hydrated. Old habits are hard to break. She would also, depending upon if she thought it was a virus or bacterial infection, have us take honey and garlic mixture that she had fermented for a cough syrup, ( eating fermented foods ), drink freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice in tepid water, even consume a few drops of turpentine ( medicinal turpentine from the pharmacy, not the hardware store ) on a cube of sugar, do a “ mustard “ plaster for chest congestion, drink rose hip tea ( being the pods she’d gather after the bloom had faded ), chamomile tea and also use camphor on our chests, neck and back to help bring up phlegm and to ease our cough. I contracted measles, mumps and chicken-pox, without “ medical “ attention and lived to see another day. By then, calamine lotion was used to help with the “ itch “ of the chicken-pox, ( pink dots and all ). When Vicks Vapor Rub was available this too was used for nasal cavities, chest, neck, back and although not recommended, she’d put a very small amount on our tongue and then be told to let it melt slowly and swallow. Also, a strong salt water gargle and at times she’d cup her palm and put some of the salt water into the palm of her hand and from the edge of her palm, she’d have us “ sniff “ it to help sooth and clear our nasal passages. I’m unable to take the vaccine because of a thrombotic issue so I’ll just have to trust the good Lord above and rely on mother’s old remedies passed down to her by her mother, grand-mother and their past generations. ☺️

@@montamiddleton9318, I’m not quite sure how she knew the differences but as I stated earlier she was just doing as she was taught by her mother, grandmother and as far back as our family goes. It may have been the teachings of the Cherokee, English, Irish, Scottish members of her family lineage. Mother didn’t drive, father worked so with five children to take care of, she did the very best that she could. We didn’t go to the doctor’s office often ( with the exception of my one brother who needed a tonsillectomy because he didn’t respond to her remedies ). I went to the dentist but never to the doctor’s office. Mother even sewed my brother’s big toe back on ( cut halfway through ) with a thinner couch needle and some of her sewing thread or fishing line, don’t remember which, I was young but helping her just the same. Alcohol, turpentine, cod liver oil, castor oil, salt water rinses and poultices, as well as medicinal plants were used quite frequently in our home. No pain meds., but a dampened washcloth, wrung out and twisted and when she said bite…you bit on that washcloth until she was done! Later as the years went on we may get a baby aspirin for pain. 🥰

Fantastic!! Well done for your intelligent and responsible approach to your health, which is precisely what the first physician, Hippocrates, taught: “Nature, not the physician, is the healer” and “Let food be your medicine.” Ironic that today’s doctors take the Hippocratic Oath, which is the antithesis of Big Pharma’s toxic drugs, which cover symptoms rather than intelligently addressing these messages of the body.

I am at home recovering from the COVID-19.. I came across your program accidentally.. I am doing okay now, but would have done much better, and healed faster if I had some of the information I got today listening to you. .I grew up in a Third World Country, where 80-90 percent of illnesses were treated at home, with homemade remedies that worked, so I am quite familiar with the Hot/Cold bath, the difference is our hot bath was made from herbs, vines and barks, and they worked. Thanks for sharing such valuable information...

I had depression my entire adult life until I moved to the mountains. I’ve lived here for 9 years now and haven’t taken antidepressants for 8 1/2. I read a study 8 1/2 years ago that said if you’re depressed and or stressed take a walk or drive down a road with trees on both sides for at least 10 minutes. In every study case, the person felt better. I stopped my meds and did that. It worked! I now live among the trees. 😁

Throughout my entire life I never fully understood that most doctors are just into treatment. You go to a doctor thinking they know all the answers, but NOT when it comes to prevention. In fact many doctors are what I call "pushers" for big pharma, noted usually by all of Big Pharma's freebies all over their office. I live in a large population area but I have to drive 100 mi. to see a doctor who focuses on prevention and natural treatments BEFORE reaching for a prescription pad. This doctor and many others on You Tube are delivering their medical knowledge to you so as to PREVENT health issues. How refreshing! This video was a wealth of information regarding scientific tips to keep your immune system strong. In my opinion it's what our medical system SHOULD be doing, but is not. In my own experience I found HUGE benefits by following this doctor's advice. The fact that we have a massive portion of the population deficient in minerals and vitamins critical for their health, signifies a gross failure of our medical system. I can't say enough good about this doctor. We really don't have to be sick. We just need to understand HOW to stay well! Our commercial food industry is working against us.

I've known this for a long time but also get pretty wimpy sometimes. I heard a long time ago from someone that it's a Russian thing in addition to being a swedish/norweigan/icelandic thing. You could just as easily have said “ I have red hair and I didn’t get bad covid symptoms so all red haired people are safe”. There is no evidence yet for WHY one person gets a bad case and another doesn’t. It could be for many reasons. Anecdotal nonsense is not evidence. This is exactly what we used to do when someone got flu 😊Firs you would be covered with blankets to make sure you sweat to the point that all bed sheet needed to be change and after you change your soaking clothes and bed sheets we would open windows and let fresh air in . That was number 1 medicine. As a kid it was so hard to keep your hand under 10 blankets to make sure your are really sweating 😅 . And in a few hours fever would go down.

YES!!! Exactly! The body is an incredible thing! When you give it what it needs, it will heal itself! I have said for a long time now that we have lost the inane sense of how the body works together as a whole that we used to have back in the old/ancient days! A perfect example of how "progress" or "modernization" isn't always such a good thing.

This is so informative and so extremely well researched. I suffer from Polymorphic Light Eruption (repulsion of vitamin D absorbed from sunlight), I am immune to TB, have Eczema and I'm also allergic to cats, plants, soap powders, air fresheners, cosmetics and I don't even know what else yet. All of the above except for the TB, which my father suffered from and therefore my immunity, I have been plagued with since I gave up smoking. That was almost 20 years ago; I'm now 68. I have no intention of being jabbed, as I feel that my body is over-ripe in managing to look after me and I feel my immune system would possibly reject a number of drugs given to me. I've had no illness to date (06/01/2022) and I feel safe, as I am. I don't need people telling me that I should get jabbed to protect them. They don't even know, or care, what they are being jabbed with. I'm so pleased to have seen this video. Thank you.

@@michaelmcnair6126 That depends who you ask. If you study researches, then, 60 to 100 can be best, depending on what illnesses are happening. But if you ask an average Doc, they’ll likely say 40, & nearly NONE will advise patients to also take enough K2/Mk7 with the D. The research showed, to take 180 units of K2/Mk7 per each 1000 units of D…without that, the body will start accumulating mineral deposits into soft tissues…including arterial plaques. Also, NO ONE is talking about how Vit. D acts like a hormone, &, we live in an environment drenched in manmade, hormone & nutrient interrupting chemicals compounds….so, even surfers, our in full sun for hours per day, are deficient in D. We are also deficient in K2/Mk7, related to failing to eat organic, dark green leafy veggies enough; people eat too much junk food, & are exposed to too many chemicals blocking hormones & nutrients…that begets diseases!

No matter how I feel, if I walk through a forest particularly when it's been raining, I feel exhilarated. The smells generated by the rain on the wood, leaves, sap etc must release a myriad of different compounds that, quite naturally as it turns out, make me feel really good. I also notice the same feeling when walking on the sea shore just where the waves wet the sand. Isn't it funny that I have noticed it but only really noticed it after your interview with Robert Seheult.
