Wanda as an anchor to reality to me says that Strange needs her to be able to return to his universe.

My main theory is wanda vision, loki and no way home are the events that leads to madness. Loki broke the time-line, wanda broke reality and Dr strange @ minimum damages the multi-verse each being its own catastrophic event.

Just a quick correction: Strange's watch wasn't damaged in the crash. It was broken during the fight with robbers in Kathmandu.

Considering how WandaVision ended, wouldn't it make sense that Wanda's orchard probably has a circle of runes around them, to keep other people's magic out and would then have been unffected by Strange's spell at the end of No Way Home? Maybe during a good chunk of the movie they don't know what made the cracks in the Multiverse until Wanda pieces it together.

Well, seeing strange supreme in live action will be TIGHT.

I don’t think Wanda will be a true Marvel villain, but rather a “neutral” figure that uses her power for her own ends and the characters will spend a lot of time trying to influence her into helping rather than causing more problems indirectly. There may be some variant versions in the movie, but I hope we aren’t treated to a jumble of alternates that pop in and out of the story as needed. The big flaw of “What If …” was that the heroes became throw-aways that could be altered and killed as needed by the writers to satisfy the smallest plot points.

So, according to the Lego sets(bear with me) the tentacle guy is NOT Shuma, but Gargantos.

9:11 I think that's a variant of Strange getting sent through a different reality by Chavez. Although the hair is longer, the white streaks on the side of the head is there like with the Strange we know. Plus, the shards behind him is in the shape of a star like Chavez's powers. 9:55 Those orchards look like Dogwood trees that symbolizes rebirth and is closely related to Christianity. My theory there is that Wanda has been jumping from reality to reality to find her kids and the orchards symbolize each one of her kids who have died in their respective realities and how she wishes for them to be reborn or summ'n. Her tending to it is basically a mother tending to her children.

I figured the line "it was the only way" was a reference to Dr. Strange telling Tony "there was no other way" in Infinity War. That would imply the Multiverse occurred due to the Avenger's actions in End Game.

I really like how Far from Home ended with Peter in the middle of time square, and then in NWH it continued from that exact moment. I would love if this movie started off with Strange being confused why he was on top of the statue of liberty and continue from there, it makes it seem like one giant movie to me and would be really cool.

Wanda’s character being heavily tied to mutants in the comics and jumping into this multiverse movie given Disney acquired fox I think we will see something X-men related for sure.

I believe this phase is centered around magic (obviously). But not just Strange and Wanda. I'm including Loki, Shang-Chi, Eternals, etc. Each magical person, has their own set of skills, and most use multiple forms of magic. For example, Wanda doesn't just use Chaos Magic, she is now proficient in Darkhold Magic (two different types of magic btw). Strange can use Eldritch Magic, Mirror Dimension Magic, Dark Dimension Magic, etc. Anyway. Instead of the focus being on the Infinity Stones (like the last phase), this time the focus will be on magic. Who can do what, who can battle whom, and can the various magics work together, to form a more powerful magic? Kind of like all Infinity Stones together, in the Gauntlet. Separate the Stones were powerful, but together, they were out of this world powerful.

Just my two cents, the circle Wanda is floating above is not necessarily a summoning circle. Circles of Power can be used for all sorts of things, from protection (to prevent being disturbed while casting) or empowering (as the name suggests), or cleansing/purging/purifying/healing (perhaps Wanda needs to purge some corruption she got from the book), and even as a form of imprisonment (again said corruption could have tainted her and they temporarily sealed it while figuring out how to fix it). You can see the linework underneath her is significantly different from the symbols in the summoning circles design, less curved and angled and more solid and gemoetric, like focusing on stability and order instead of the chaos she taps into.

Everyone’s asking who the next thanos level enemy is going to be, but to me it seems the multiverse it’s self is the “villain” of this marvel arc

The only thing that has me wondering is Mordo. It may not necessarily be a variant of Mordo. It's been over 12 years in the MCU timeline since Stephen's seen him.

I’d love it if the big reveal is that we’ve been following Strange Supremes journey the entire movie. He tricks Wanda and America Chavez to help him, thinking it’s our Dr Strange. When in reality (pun intended) it’s been Strange Supreme using them to bring some demon to the MCU. They then need our Dr Strange to help fix it all. It would be such a twist that the focus has been on Strange Supreme the entire film thinking he’s trying to help the universe when in fact he was sabotaging it the entire time.

The crackling energy is actually America Chavez’s powers if you look at it it’s in the shape of a star. I think it’s actually someone traveling between dimensions because of her powe

I’m surprised you didn’t mention that Wanda is clipping the branches of the tree. Like how the TVA clipped the branches of the multiverse.

A couple stray thoughts: An upcoming Lego set for the movie has confirmed that the tentacled creature is actually Gargantos, not Shuma Gorath. And I do think the final sentence was directed to MCU’s Strange indeed, with Strange Supreme being the personification of that: he doomed his own universe. And perhaps many more stranges did. And that Maelstrom - not saying it is - but looked a whole lot like Fantastic Four’s sequel’s Galactus 😂

If Wanda ends up being the main villain this would be my dream movie. I love all the scenes in wandavision and previous movies where she gets pissed because she’s quite intimidating, so her as a villain would be great. Also, my immediate reaction after watching the dr strange what if episode was thinking of how cool a live action version of it would be, so even if Wanda isn’t the villain I’ll love it.

@ 10:30 I disagree with calling the variants in Loki nexus beings, because in Loki the people who stepped off the timeline were called variants not Nexus Beings. Variants created Nexus events, but are not Nexus Beings themselves. So I don't think the MCU has formally introduced the concept of Nexus Beings yet and still will sometime in the current phase, and definitely seems like they are setting up Wanda to be one of those Nexus Beings.

I will never get tired of the "I just want my kids back." clip. Keep using that as often as possible.

So yeah i think you are right, the only thing i want to add is that the cloud in the background looks like an outside view of the point in the middle of all universes. Possibly thats what Alioth is, he is the center of the multiverse breaking down from constant cracking of the streams that hold them in place. And Strange Supreme is gonna have to fight that thing at full power fresh off the block with Strange. Especially if Wanda is there too

I really do not love the idea of Wanda being "the villain" of this film. I could see having conflict there, like Dr. Strange tangling with Spider-Man bc they disagree about what needs to be done, but just taking Wanda's character after Wandavision and saying she didnt learn any lessons from this except how to get more powerful, and now she'll hurt ppl to pursue her own selfish goals... I mean, it's a shitty character arc that sort of ruins her unless she decides to stop, repent, and save the day by the end. Otherwise, and maybe even if that's the case, she would need to die. In the comics she was mostly being manipulated in her most infamous acts and still many ppl would never forgive her for the damage she caused, even after much of it was reverted. If she goes from one situation where she uses her powers to hurt ppl mostly unconsciously straight into another where she does so consciously, there's no redemption for her that would ring true. Why would we want her to have a happy ending at that point? What would have been the point of humanizing her, making audiences empathize with her and want her to be reunited with her children, just to make her do terrible things and threaten the multiverse to get it? And also, wouldnt that basically be retelling stories like Kaecilius and Strange Supreme? The only way it could work is if she tries to do the right thing, stumbles, makes mistakes, but learns the lesson that Strange Supreme did without destroying the universe first, and ultimately makes the right choice. An antagonist in the story maybe, but not a villain, and not THE villain. For a lot of reasons, not least of which bc that's what a lot of ppl are expecting (due in part to leaks of a batshit over-the-top early script, which was btw changed so much that the original director quit), and also bc it would mean Hayward was right all along, Wanda Maximoff cannot ever be trusted to use her powers responsibly, which would be a shit character arc.

Evil strange: " things just got out of hand isn't strange!" Dr. Strange:" evil strange!, I've come to bargain!"

when strange levitates the worlds, It looks like he is showing how wanda's chaos magic is ripping worlds or realities apart. In the comics strange showed beast from x men what wanda's chaos magic was doing and the comic panel showed her chaos magic weaving through different worlds or realities.

2 things - I don’t think strange has tentacles coming out of his hands looks more like the multi headed dragon he also absorbed and used during the What If episodes.. and also hasn’t the tentacle monster in the street more or less been confirmed as Gargantos rather than Shuma Gorath ?

I disagree with Ryan on this one: I don't think Wanda would be dumb enough to become a Kaecilius. Or un-powerful, for that matter. Sure, she fell for Hydra, but ahe was a teenager, if anything, her own series only showcased how she is a fast learner. Evidence for my opinion: Jack Schaeffer told several media in the press tour of WandaVision she thought the "Mad Woman" narrative is old and worn out already. Also, for other movies, Kevin already said aome people got some theories right, so they are actually like Taylor Swift, lurking in the internet and listening to us, they could even be reading this comment, who knows? Soooo... my guess is that the "Big Reveal" of the trailer, the reveal that the villain is Dr. Strange himself, in the form of a variant, is *veeery* intentional. They may be aiming more for "Doctor and the Monster" thing, which pairs very well with a horror thriller like this 💁🏻‍♂️

Honestly, all this multiverse gets me really fucking excited, because it makes me think back to "The Umbrella Academy" and how they tapped into alternate timeliness, because number 5 jumped through time, and there's also a secret society that controls temporal anomalies, and specific point in times that are supposed to happen, and how they just finished filming season 3 of that show, I literally cannot wait

Maybe Wanda is just doing her thing trying to regain her children, and that happens to clash with what ever Dr Strange is going through

At 14:45 I believe that the tentacle monster is actually Gargantos… A creature that looks very similar to Shuma Gorath. The evidence to that is that there’s a Lego set coming out of Strange fighting that monster and the Lego box says “Gargantos Showdown”

I agree with that SW will try to find a way to reconstitute her children. I believe that the main baddie could be.... Mephisto! Maybe he was locked away and is now able to get out. Strange supreme feels it. Mordo is gonna screw stuff up but them realize that a sorcerer supreme and other sorcerers a needed. They will not fix the bleeding of the multiverse and that will cause X-Men and maybe even fantastic 4 to be formed down the line.

Doctor Strange and Spiderman make up 90% of my hype for the MCU

After reading the leak, there's plenty of things you missed such as: the creature is Gargantos in the beginning sent by Wanda. Later in the movie, she sends the real Shuma Gorath. The plot is Wanda is persuaded by the Darkhold to find America because she can jump to different realities. Mordo with the braids is a variant. He puts America in a protective prison so Wanda cannot steal her powers. She wants to take her power to see her kids in a dimension they exist. She realizes she was wrong before the end and Strange brings her back to reality. By the way, Wanda creates a bloodbath everywhere she goes in this one. It's horrific.

I mean I kinda hope we will see Loki in later trailers, now we know that Loki is in the movie and you suggested these are the beginnings of Alioth. It could just be a cameo but personally I don't think so. Loki is smart enough to figure out the loop of time, and this time no TVA is there to make him destined to lose. So what if Loki and maybe Wanda or someone else team up to manipulate this and try to break the loop by taking the citidel at the end of Time (which is rumored to be in the movie) for themselves, now obviously Sylvie and Mobius won't have many nice things to say about that which might set up a kind of civil war dynamic between Loki and Sylvie for LOKI season 2 which we know is coming

I have a theory that Wanda Maximoff isn't the big bad but is meditating to get a glimpse of other universes in her mind to help strange know more about the multiverse AND to know in which dimension her children might be. There might be a variant of strange in different realities, some evil. And even though we don't see it in the trailer I think (and hope) that Mordo the, original Mordo, with team up with the darker version of strange and dr strange, scarlet witch and variant kong team up to defeat them. I think it will be interesting to see Wanda and the others fight together and Mordo variant and dr strange either helping Wanda to find her kids or trying to persuade her to not ruin reality by doing so. I might not be right. It's just a theory.

I think that all the point of Wanda story (from Avengers to Wandavision) is that she is now in control. No 'evil' Wanda on the horizon accordingly even to the trailer.

Director Sam Raimi previously added two references to the character Doctor Strange in Spider-Man 2 (2004). In that film, Joe's Pizza (where Peter Parker is working at the beginning) and the billboard showing Mary Jane are located on the Bleecker Street - a reference to the street where Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum is located. Also, the name Doctor Strange was suggested by Hoffman (Ted Raimi) to J. Jonah Jameson as a possible name for Dr. Octavius, to which Jameson replies "But it's taken!".

Multiverse Madness Theory: the Doctor Strange variant we see at the end of the trailer is Steven Strange, but instead of becoming Doctor Strange he became Doctor Doom. I don't think this is a direct copy and paste of Strange Supreme from the "what if", but I think that this variant of Doctor Strange did something very similar to what strange supreme did and "what if" and is trying bring his universe back. I think Wanda at the beginning of the movie teams up with Doctor Strange but later switches to the new variant because I think the new variant promises that if Wanda helps him find a way to restore his universe he can find a way to restore Wanda's children. I think introducing this new variant as Dr Doom would be a cool twist.
