Apparently, in an earlier draft, the movie would have opened on the main universe's Mordo continuing his quest to kill all the "too many sorcerers," targeting Wanda. He gets to her cabin and she kills him brutally, and later when she's dropping the apple-orchard Hex for Strange, that wooden box she was filling with clippings is revealed to contain Mordo's severed head, horrifying Strange. They changed things around to keep Wanda's villain reveal a surprise, so Mordo is canonically still alive in 616 MCU.

For the eyeball monster that battles strange and Wong, they did a scan of Wanda's actual eye and animated it in the creature.

So apparently initially Dr Strange was suppose to be in WandaVision as the cause of the commercials.

Small detail: Dr. Strange and Wong couldn't discribe Spiderman better because they forgot who Peter Parker is because of his spell in the end of No Way Home. The freakin Scarlet Witch. I loved the evil Wanda to be honest😂❤

One thing that the film should've emphasised more is how the Darkhold corrupts anyone who even so much as glances at it so Wanda who's already extremely powerful and emotionally distressed is gonna be very messed up since she's been reading it loads since WandaVision, instead it kind of just skips through that development to get her to be the villain as soon as possible. If we spent more time addressing these things I think more people would accept Wanda's turn in this film.

America was supposed to be in Spider-Man but they changed the release order due to Covid. She was supposed to open the portals instead of Ned.

Combining the elements of Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse I guess I expected some next-level creativity. Instead i got a universe where "Red means Go" Wow what mind bending madness

Nothing was better than going to see this in the cinema in Mexico as an English speaker and my spanish was not great, and getting immediate panic when the first line hit with no subtitles.

I absolutely love the horror vibes of this film A lot of people didn’t like this film (A lot of it was people expecting too much from it and expecting all these crazy cameos that were clearly made up rumours) but as it is I do like the film a lot and thought it was a lot more enjoyable then the first film as much as I enjoyed it Yeah it would have been cool if the film had explored a lot more of the multiverse but then it would have been overstuffed and there’s always room to explore more Elizabeth Olsen absolutely kills it as always, she’s such a strong actress

You need to watch the TV series Agents of Shield. I know you like Phil Colson. It is really good with a lot of character archs.

13:51 through 13:58 Exactly Finally someone says that, everything Doctor Strange did he did for the greater good of reality, not to mention he save the world from Dormammu, he paved the way to endgame to save the universe and cleaned up the mess he and peter made in No way home to prevent reality from breaking apart, Wanda breaks the rules of reality, so she could enslave and brainwash Westview for own happiness and that led her to war with a government agency dedicated to earth thats selfish bad guy stuff, Doctor Strange is more of a hero than wanda will ever be and she is just a hypocrite.

This movie would have been over in 12 minutes if the villain was Eurus instead of Wanda.. but then I guess you'd have to give Sherlock John (second only to Samwise Gamgee as a best friend) Watson. But then you might as well throw in Smaug, causing the dreaded Multicumberbatch, and destroying yet another universe.

Shuma-Gorath is an Eldritch being one of the Great Old Ones whose existence pre-dates Earth. Due to copyright issues they call the MCU version Gargantos. Tentacled entities are usually the Hallmark of H. P. Lovecraft who created the Cthulhu lore. Not to be confused with Marvel's C'thon a demonic chaos being. 😮 The girl is America Chavez a more recent edition to the Marvel Universe. Her power is that she can create Star shaped portals to anywhere in the Multiverse which is a unique ability. She also has invulnerability which makes her bulletproof and flame retardant. She also has Super Strength as well as flight. She was created by writer Joe Casey and artist Nick Dragotta. First appearance in Vengeance vol.1 #1 September 2011. The book is the Darkhold. The Book of the Damned. It is a tome of Chaos Magic created by the powerful chaos demonic being C'thon. 😮 Pizza Papa is played by actor Bruce Campbell a friend of director Sam Raimi who had cameos in all three of the Toby Maguire Spider-Man films which Raimi also directed. 😮

This director Sam Raimi directed the original Spiderman series with Toby and a lot of other scary movies.

This movie gets a lot of hate, but it's one of my favorites. I dig the horror tone. I just think it would have been a good opportunity to have gone full R rating and really lean into it.

Sam Raimi always wanted to direct Dr. Strange. Glad he got his wish, even if it wasn't great it was still a solid sequel and I love the horror aspect he brought to the movie.

The only MCU movie I actively dislike....Raimi has his talents but there's just too many script, characterisation and story issues with this thing to make it enjoyable or satisfying.

I enjoyed the horror elements of this movie. However I HATE that they made Wanda cave so easily to being “evil”. She is a woman who had emotions so therefore she turned evil? I know I know it’s the darkhold that truly turned her. But if she is supposed to be the most powerful being wouldn’t she be able to resist that? Also it’s a bit like everyone in thee entire world lost half of the people they know and love some of them died due to snapping back at a terrible place and time…plus all of the other characters in the MCU have lost important people to them. But Wanda is the one who can’t handle her emotions? So that’s one thing that truly bothers me about this plot. I think if they would have explained things just a little better with her decent into darkness. I would have been way more into it. Considering she is one of my favorites. Another thing that TRULY BOTHERS ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE…Is that America Chavez is literally just shoved into this movie as a plot device to move Strange between multiverse and nothing more. And the thing that bothers me a the most is that terribly cheesy evil strange fight where they fight with music, the special effects for many of the scenes like that awful third eye 👁️, and so many of the very very Sam Raimi moments that just come across as cheesy rather than funny. I do love the horror elements Raimi incorporated…but I think someone should have tried to reel him in just slightly. And don’t get me wrong I truly love Raimi as a director. But I just don’t know if this movie needed any of his usual cheese flavor lol. But overall it is an alright movie. HATE that they “killed Wanda” but we also got some of the coolest Wanda scenes. I think I just am still very conflicted on this movie.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (2002) is one of my favorite movies of all time and I've been a MCU fanboy since day one but this movie was one of my biggest disappointments. Maybe i was just too hyped for it, but i just really hated this script. Especially on the heels of Wandavision. I know there were a lot of bts problems and it shows. Raimi doing Marvel horror should have been a masterpiece and to me this was a huge let-down and among my least favorite mcu films. Probably just a notch above Eternals.

This movie was decent, but the MCU's clearly growing dependence on the massive overuse of eyebleeding cgi was very apparent here. It was one of the biggest drawbacks, as was the waste of all the work put in to lovingly crafting Wanda's character over the years, and the stupid writing in the illuminati v Wanda scene.

Wanda pretty much proved Hayward right about how dangerous she is, imagine in jail he hears about her attack on Kamar-Taj and just smiles that he was right. it would've been nice to have Clint show up in the Karmar-Taj fight since he's one of the very few people left who understands Wanda's pain and friends left

You guys really need to research Marvel Comic books. Wanda, Loki, and others are well known villains. Scarlet Witch is a Villain. Don’t be gullible and be another victim Being naive.

Sadly, this is my least favorite of the entire MCU. I just had so many reasons to not like this movie. The movie betrays Wanda's character, the plot is so badly thought out, it reduces a lot of what I liked about the MCU to what I disliked about superhero movies before the MCU...

Terribly bad, and expensive, terror film. 2 excellent characters smashed. One Raimi hand doesn't know what the other is doing. He is a VERY uneven director. For each ‘average’ film, he makes 4 bad ones. A Gruyere cheese script. A pathetic, ridiculous and absurd introduction of new characters. One of the smartest men in the world appears through a dimensional portal and closes it like someone closes a car with a key ring. Not content with this stupidity, he also reveals to his enemy what his weapons are. The death of the 'three-eyed' couldn't be more typical: how many times have we seen it already in a screen, 51? Shocks more predictable than pissing after drinking; childish. Uncle Aaron gave better scares as Prowler... Kamar-Taj is now a free-entry orphanage. I couldn't give it more than a 5 out of 10, being generous. Now that's ruining Marvel.
