I think our Doctor Strange took note about the idea of the Illuminati and will establish his own Illuminati in earth 616 at some point in the future.

When Dr. Strange says didn't you guys chart in the 60s he's actually referring to a band that actually did chart in the 60s with the same name. I like this line because it still shows the musical encyclopedia side of Strange that we've seen in the first movie.

I think the chair belonged Dr. Strange. After his “heroic” death, they chose to keep it and not fill it, to maintain their lie, or as a reminder of their own frailty and mortality.

It honestly felt worse that the death of most of the X-Force in Deadpool 2. Rough death comparison by closest association maybe: Imploded (after losing mouth) vs electrocuted: Imploded worse Spaghettified vs woodchopper: tie Bisected vs helicopter-shredded: Helicopter worse Crushed vs bus crash: tie Head snapped (via possession) vs burned by acid: personally felt the head-snap is worse, even if the acid is technically more gruesome.

When the captain marvel of the Illuminati was all like “We can handle your witch” only for them all to die was crazy. I bet Mordo went to inform the loved ones of the dead illuminati members on who’s responsible for their deaths and will want to take revenge on earth 616 blaming strange on bringing Wanda causing their loved ones to get murdered brutally which could possibly lead to a secret wars.

Too much stories on the line .. I don't think they can handle it in movies as Dr Strange said Mordo trying to kill him in earth 616 after Dr strange 1 events but we didn't see that in a movie because of the Infinity war and Endgame. And now its Multiverse Saga they will not waste it for other stories.. maybe they can in What If season 2.

I love how they introduced the illuminati just to get destroyed by Wanda in the most brutal ways. Like alittle tease for the future. I think the reed Richards of our universe won't have children yet. I was so shocked that John was Mr. Fantastic , I thought it was just a fan cast , but to have it legit was dope!

Personally I don’t feel they were wasted. Solid fan service in the multiverse, to showcase how powerful Wanda is. I have a feeling this just opens the doors for future stuff with X-Men/previous actors etc. I’m happy they did it. Also with it being multiverse their could be 400+ other versions of the Illuminati that aren’t or wouldn’t be killed by Wanda out there. I understand not everyone will agree.

My only thing with the multiverse is I don’t want the significance of death to go away. We got so attached to the original avengers, but now with there being variants and potentially the same actor or actress playing that variant, I don’t see the sentimental part of marvel staying the same.

I feel the time they had was perfect. They gave Strange the info he needed to grow, and they showed that Wanda was NOT to be taken lightly which is what they did. If you notice, what got them killed was their ignorance by attacking one by one. Had they actually worked together at the same time, maybe they would have lasted just a tad bit longer but still would have died.

@@brian09able this was the worst part of the movie. It was rushed and seemed to hurt the overall plot of the movie... Its like they knew of the darkhold and its powers in the hands of strange and or a wanda... but dont even bat an eye... the hubris seemed wayyy out of place

The incursion is going to be what causes the mutants to join the mcu. They said incursion can destroy one or both of the universes that are involved. So what I’m guessing is that the universe that do survive the other universe will be assimilated into the one that survived

Maybe the Mutants's universe is about to be destroyed by the incursion and they all escape to our universe as refugees, children, teen, adult and old age mutants and their families, this way you immediately get mutants of all ages in our world, them being refugees from another universe could even be used as the initial reason that people dislike them. Then as the mutants stick around they slowly have families and more mutants are born.

If some people all of a sudden got mutant powers then everyone would get them at the same time (apart from kids, if we still follow the logic that it first shows up in puberty). That would mean we wouldn't be able to have a Wolverine that has lived for hundreds of years and aged slowly for example. We couldn't have a Professor X and Magneto who have been friends for years and have different approaches to the human and mutant relationship.

The empty seat could be Tony Stark's who made those ultron bots. It wouldn't be Dr Strange's as his seat is the one occupied by Mordo. During the callbacks where they kill Strange Mordo wasn't there. Mordo replaced him as the sorcerer supreme as well as in the Illuminati after he died. Why would they have 2 sorcerers in it at the same time. Tony then realized this Illuminati is such a circus of clowns (quoting Strange) and just left. Tony always ahead of time.

I thought they did specifically say that Mordo took Strange’s spot when he died? Also, it is a little bit weird that they never mention Tony or what happened to him or their universe’s Avengers or any of that stuff. I mean, maybe their Avengers was just completely different because their universe actually has X-Men, Inhumans, and the Fantastic Four, and because Peggy got the super soldier serum and Maria became Captain Marvel. So if there’s no Captain America, then if they even have an Avengers team, it probably wouldn’t be anything like our Avengers.

There is no redemption. They’re just one universe of variant in what will be a big event of countless variants. This was their way of teaching the audience not to get attached to the variant heroes we see, because a lot of them will be getting killed once Secret Wars starts.

The Beatles were known as the Fab Four. While it was true they charted at the same time, there was actually a Motown/soul group named The Fantastic Four that also charted in the 60s. This feels less of a Beatles flub and more of an "impressive knowledge of obscure musical knowledge" that Strange demonstrated before.
