'Doctor Syn' Returns - Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway - 2/4/23

Күн бұрынOn a blustery day, a journey to the Kent Coast was made, to see the newly overhauled No.10 Doctor Syn returning to traffic.
The famous 15" gauge railway would see the 1931 built pacific work special trains, inbetween the normal services and running in parrel for the last train of the day.

Doctor Syn’s whistle sounds like an LNER A4 pacific chime whistle

It's a BR Standard Chime, which is very similar

The only bit that got me a bit concerned about was the lax attitude to operating a passenger service with certain doors wide open on the carriages. How is this possible?

People opening them. It's not much of an issue, quite hard to fall out.

I just wanted to ask the one question. How many sections of track are double?

8 miles. It's the section between New Romney and Hythe.
