Doctor Who: Davros by Big Finish Productions

Extracts from the documentary 'Davros Connections', released in 2007 on the limited edition 'The Davros Collection' DVD, and available generally on 'Remembrance of the Daleks Special Edition'. Big Finish have produced a number of Davros themed audios over the years; most recently 'Daleks Among Us', and featured here is the origin series 'I, Davros', the Sixth Doctor story 'Davros' and the theoretical final story 'Terror Firma', featuring the Eighth Doctor.

I had listened to the whole thing on Spotify recently. It helped me to actually make Terry Molloy my favorite Davros. I thought before he was just too hoaky and just a screaming incomprehensible lunatic, but this series helped me to appreciate him.

That last bit really makes me wish we saw more of his insane Emperor personality in the show. At least a reference to him being the Dalek Emperor would have been nice, instead of the show ignoring that detail from Remembrance of the Daleks

Davros isn't featured enough by Big Finish. Terry Molloy's voice as Davros is the best.

Unfortunately I'm not that good! This actually comes from the 2007 DVD 'The Complete Davrps Collcection'. So I suppose you should ask that question to the BBC/Big Finish...

doctorwho2production Ahh Damn! I probably should've looked into this more before commenting. Looks like I'll be taking my suggestion to Big Finish. If they were to animate some of their best audio adventures and released them on DVD, I feel like it'd be a big success (and it'd add a new category to the Doctor Who DVD line).

Andrew Ford In terms of financing and the available market, I doubt we'll ever see that. There's also the fact that aesthetically, a story written for audio may not necessarily translate as well into a visual medium.

Hang on; hand on! If this is meant to he Davros’ trial following Revelation of the Daleks... How come he still has his hand, seeing as that was blasted to bits by Orcini?

In the Big Finish story Terror Firma he has a split personality that is like the Dalek Emperor and at the end the split personality takes over. Course would have been nice if the revived series followed up on that, but no.
