Really, this started in series 9 with the odd jarring line, but it really did double down through series 11&12

Not a fan of that intro talking as if New Who was just an objective improvement on the original show. If anything, New Who is just a totally different thing from the original series. (and good writing and character depth are not things I'd associate with literally any new who post 2010)
