They also inserted Sutekh's glowing eyes into the opening scene with Professor Scarman, which pretty much spoils the suspense of the story. The whole reason why Sutekh is left out in that scene is because the director didn't want the audience knowing what/who attacked Scarman yet. Absolutely pathetic, IMO. It's no wonder the new scripts are so terrible - written for a generation that demands instant gratification, so they can't be bothered to WAIT until a big reveal.

It was knitted by Begonia Pope. It was always meant to be multicoloured. It was inspired by two sources Lautrec's Ambassadeurs-Aristide Bruant ( 1892). And a guy seen down the pub by the producer. Pope did use all the wool to make 2 scarfs. Both were much longer than intended but when the scarf proved popular. The second scarf would sometimes be added to the main one to increase it's size.

Editing out all the puzzles seems like a boneheaded decision, as they were literally put in place by Horus to prevent anyone under Sutekh's influence and/or any passers-by from inadvertently wandering into the pyramid and deactivating the field that kept Sutekh held in place. Without the puzzles, the pyramid on Mars is virtually left unguarded... which would make Horus look like a complete jack ass. It's the pyramid on Mars that was the key to the whole story, as that's where the device emitting the force field was. In the puzzle scenes as Sutekh guides Scarman through, he [Sutekh] can see what Scarman sees via his monitor, and there's a nice scene where Sutekh exclaims, "Ugh! Horus, you think you can confound me with these childish stratagems?!" He then looks over to his right, as if examining the puzzles and finding the solution. Plus, there was the cool ass visuals in the backgrounds using CSO. Not to harp on this too much, but the ending to this story SHOULD have meant that Sutekh had no means of returning, which is why I find his return in _"Empire of Death"_ a bit half-baked; it's just more nostalgia bait as has become the norm for NuWho for years now. At the end of PoM, the Doctor traps Sutekh in the time vortex, sending him all the way to the end of time itself. Inside the vortex, Sutekh was powerless; he shouldn't have been able to escape...
