And also the vashta nerada are defeated by the light in this game because they plan to get you from the dark and don't intend on being seen. They just wait for the lights to go out and come back

@cyblox07 not really. if you go in the dark when you're not supposed to then the Doctor (or Amy, it depends who are you are) screams, the screen goes down and a skull appears.

The Vashta Nerada only creep me out in dark places. If I have one of those "so powerful its 5 times more powerful than a car headlight" flashlights, I have no problem.

here's a theory, the vashta's ability to work together as a swarm goes to hell when the light (which weakens them) gets shone on them, kind of like throwing a wrench into a clock tower

@JoeyHollywood1 Could be the scripts, could be at the time Matt was just starting in the role of the Doctor before the video games started, it could be many things. I think a lot of people just weren't ready to give him a chance because they were used to Tennant who was a good Doctor and had a long tenure in it. That said, I'm glad to see you liking his take on the character in some form and fashion. He can only go up IMHO.

@mspeter97 Yeah, that's one area that still has to be answered; even if we assume that the Silence were responsible, what do they have to gain by destroying the universe, and where did they get the power to make the TARDIS do that? Personally, I'm still inclined to suspect Omega; he's the only villain who might conceiveably benefit if the universe wasn't here any more...
