They can easily fix this by making this a spin off and carrying on with Tennant for few season with good writing without all the nonsense, you know the stuffs they shove up to your face. They can call this Doctor Magic Mike 2.0 or something more appealing to their targeted audience.

I'm glad they're making this new run Season 1, because it helps separate it from actual Doctor Who. Not that Jodie / Chibnall's run counts, but at least it was still sci-fi. I actually thought a female Doctor would be interesting with the right actress and good writing, but nope. To me, the Doctor's sexuality was NEVER important. Couldn't care less. He's supposed to be a Time Lord from Gallifrey who travels through time and space, overcoming obstacles (inside and out), and saving people... even the baddies. He's an ancient alien who has to OVERCOME his ego, not embrace it which is what all this identify stuff is rooted in. Everything that made DW is ruined. Now it's just fan fiction. It's going to be hard to even watch older stuff knowing what it all leads up to. It's depressing.

My greatest gripe with the episode is that it looks filmed on a soundstage the makeup’s perfect,the costumes clean and shiny, the buildings look fake , the cgi is atrocious. The actors look like actors not characters in a story- it’s a stark contrast with christopher eccleston’s run where everything looked so real and even with jodie’s run .

I didn't think it was awful. He had a few good moments. And I like Milly/Ruby. She's nice and she reminds me of other nice companions like Martha and Bill. Overall though the story was not that good. It feels like a bad Chinball story.

It was all bad, the plot, the pace, the villains there was no suspense it just drifted from one scene to the next and the desperate attempt at the end of the lady breaking the fourth wall to ask us if we'd never seen a tardis before was just clutching at straws, Pandering and PC WOKENESS and attachment to disney brought us to this the sad death of The Doctor

I stopped watching after you chose to devote time to give advice on how women should dye hair to look prettier.

I was originally planning to cancel my Disney Plus subscription after the Tennent episodes because I don't like woke political analogies as a substitute for creativity but "The Giggle" actually turned out to be an interesting episode. The Toymaker's obsession with winning zero-sum games and the utter insanity of a world where everybody was a fanatic who believed anybody who disagreed with them on anything was completely wrong about everything is actually a fairly reasonable critique of cancel culture and political correctness. Gatwa's bi-regeneration into a new Doctor not requiring the death of the previous Doctor was a good symbolic beginning for him. I personally utterly despise "gravitas" which is a cheap theatrical trick to make the current villain trying to rule or destroy the universe seem somehow worse than all the other villains who tried it before them. Given the number of villains the Doctor has previously defeated in the past 50 years by various means including killing off entire alien species there was no pragmatic alternative to killing before they killed off all the rest of us I personally didn't have a problem with his execution of all those Steven Spielberg Gremlins and their baby eating Goblin King. The Doctor is supposed to be somebody like Rick in "Rick and Morty" who has all sorts of fascinating problems in spite of being the smartest person in the universe which he's aware doesn't make him infallible. Gatwa being gay doesn't bother me any more than Matt Smith who was a brilliant fun Doctor who didn't try to define good and evil by his own personal identity politics like Jodie Whitaker's 13th Doctor did. I far prefer his shedding a silent tear about something going wrong to Capaldi's (and to a lesser degree most of the other Doctors')long winded mea culpea's about how everything that went bad was all their fault or political hate speeches about how the current politically correct scapegoat was to blame for everybody else's problems like Jodie was always doing. When something goes wrong the important thing is to fix the problem not the blame. I think the refrigerator pictures were important to show how taking care of Ruby was something that changed her foster mother's life as taking care of other people who appreciate it can do for people. I liked her and her interactions with the Doctor were no sillier than his interactions with all his other companions of have been. He gives off a sort of Eddie Murphy vibe to me generally. The tranny guy pretending to be a woman in this episode didn't bother me as much as Donna's delusional teenage son going through a phase of expecting everybody else to humor his inflated delusional ego like it was 1984 and he was the Thought Police. Having long hair and acting weird like Alice Cooper or Tiny Tim makes you a weirdo. It doesn't change your biological gender and anybody who claims otherwise should get used to be laughed at like some sort of religious fanatic who thinks they should be treated like Jesus if they have a beard.

you can't like something if you are watching it negatively. You can't say "I'll give it a chance" while thinking "I'm going to hate this" that will influence your enjoyment of the whole episode because you would be thinking negatively since the beginning. Also " Doctor Who it's dead" the more you people say it, the more ridiculous you all sound like because it's clearly not dead, many people have enjoyed it some that have been watching since the beginning. Sure some hate it either because they didn't give it a chance or because they just didn't enjoyed it but from the mixed reactions I've seen it's far from dead. I enjoyed the David Temnant specials, specially The Toymaker one, is there some messages there, sure, are they noticeable sure, but the Toymaker was such a fun villain that, the last special was worth it. As for this Christmas special, it had a "gay bar" scene that's the only thing most noticeable everything else was toned down compared to the other specials. Also hard disagree, Ncuti portrayal was good, he is a good actor also his doctor doesn't have the pain of his past, he is a more happy Doctor Who and his portrayal was good. The one portrayal I through needed more works was Ruby Sunday actress I think her acting is not quite there yet, but she might improve with time who knows. As for the episode in question, just a fun Christmas episode that doesn't take itself too seriously just like most of the Doctor Who Christmas episodes are like that. It connected to the Timeless Child, introduced new characters well, like for example Ms. Flood, which is a mystery character this season.And i think for a Christmas special it was good. I'll give this one 6/7 out of 10, a good Christmas Episode, which I'm rating based on being a Christmas episode, these episodes shouldn't be rated like normal Doctor Who episodes because they aren't that and never were that.

The doctor changes everytime he regenerates. Like, he change almost everything. He changes his looks, his personality traits, what he likes and dislikes. He is the perfect character to write as gay after years not been. We had a lot of straight doctor. I see no point in don't liking the 15th doctor to be gay. "He didn't need to be" well he doesn't need to be straight too. This isn't really an argument

Well, I've watched the whole episode and It was ok. Not the best, far from the worst. It's ok. This video is not. Watched 10 minutes of it and that was 5 minutes too much. It failed to be entertaining or at least interesting. Just some guy rambling about how he didn't like the new episode in excruciatingly boring details.

A crying man isn't de-meaning your daddy probably told you that boys don't cry and stuff upper lip c#@p but real people can be brave enough to show emotion just like the doctor did when Susan left. Or maybe when he lost rose. I also believe he did cry a little at having to regenerate from tennent the first time. Maybe you really should watch the old episodes you are showing you don't know the show. Also that interviewer woman you keep mentioning devina McCall, maybe watch an episode of the show she cameo-ing in the episode it's almost identical to in the episode.

If you paid attention, Tennant retired to rest and recuperate. Gatwa is a new, rejuvenated incarnation without the loss, doubt, and regrets that plagued those before. A new energy and outlook. A new Doctor. That's what we have now. Embrace the change.
