Here is an animation of my new updated Thirteenth Doctor's TARDIS model materialising on the top of a canyon. This scene was made and composited in Blender 3.0 and was rendered in the Cycles X Render Engine.

Very well done. I like that you used the full sound effect and the bass at the end when it touches down was good too. The timing of the warping in and out with the sound effect was done well too. The light on top too that looked nice, good blue. I will say personally I think it started materializing a bit too early as usually it doesn’t start blurring in and out until the “groaning” sound starts as Matt put; but by far the best one I’ve seen so far. Well done

Did you make the TARDIS model or did you get it from somewhere. If it's from somewhere else where did you get it? If you made it then good job, and it looks amazing.

I do love this, as this and many other fan projects continue to inspire me to pursue animation and art in general. One question though from someone who is very clueless about blender and 3D animation. When in the description it says "made and composited in Blender" does that mean the animation etc was made in blender then exported into Cycles for effects and such? Genuinely curious.

Thanks! 😁👍🏻 And yes, it was all modelled, lit, animated and rendered and composted in Blender and using the Cycles X in Blender 3.0. The composition effects are applied to each frame as they render after I've tested the composition effects on a frame or two. But it was all done in Blender, Cycles is a part of Blender, currently its main render engine alongside the real-time render engine Eevee.

Great stuff! I’m working towards making a mat/demat animation for my AWJ box, but I’ve ran into some problems. I’ve setup the fade in/out effect by grouping a mix shader node from all the materials I use, connected to a transparent bsdf, which allows me to change the transparency of all the object of my model from one channel. How did you manage to do this without the inside sections of your model showing?

I'll be honest, all I did was render 2 versions of the scene and mixed them together, fading in and out aha. 1 version with the TARDIS and 1 without. 😅

@@TheLoneDalek2021 I worked out how to do it and fixed the problem. I Can now make it fade in and out exactly how it’s supposed to, just by messing with a material nodes channel.

⏩⏩⏩ Very impressive work !! Well done !! 😉 However, the rocks are very shiny ? Maybe too much... Was that intentional ? It's ok if they are supposed to be wet, but if your idea was they were dry (it would make sense since the landscape is desert like), you should adjust the settings to stop making them shine. 😊 I suppose it's really tempting to make everything shine since every videogame developers used to put shine effects all over the place when new lighting possibilities were offered several years ago... lolol

Oh this model was scrapped long ago, aha. I remade it again a lot more accurately months ago (the model turnaround of which can also be found on my channel) 😆

Hi, I'm afraid not, I only allow my work to be used by others if they've commissioned it specifically and/or in very few cases a collab with someone I know (but the latter is rare).

how did you get the lantern to pulse? ..and fade in? when ever I try it either goes full invisible or doesnt work at all >_
