The best Doctor Who theme tune in my humble opinion. A nice mix of analogue and digital, old and new, which is what Doctor Who has always been about.

So Cool. Never bettered. But then I grew up with this version of the theme, so I'm biased.

Its amazing that they have kept the same theme music all of these years when shows tend to change them and not always for the best.

Nahh there's no overdrive guitar it's all synths I agree it is by far the best version. born 77 so again baised. I think it gallops along and makes you think WOW even though the tempo is identical to the original

If i recall correctly it was a woman from the BBC music department who wrote this. Can`t remember her name. Wonderful piece of music :)

Oh fuck this brings back memories! Surely the greatest Doctor Who theme of all time. Far superior to the crapy theme's they used on the reboot. Bring this back! It needs the chuging of the guitar and synthesiser!

I agree about the '64 version being better, but I can't hear any guitar in this version.

i love all the dr who theme songs but this is the wierdist one i've evr heard in my life lol but i still love dr who

The 1964 version is better, the overdrive guitar ruins this one.
