Sir you haven't exposed the relation of doctors and pharmaceutical companies, who offer a lot of perks to doctors e.g companies pay utility bills of doctors for their clinics, hospitals and even their houses, companies gives cars to doctors, companies pay school, college, university fees of doctor's children they offer holiday trips to doctors national and international tours (including their family) as well in the name of academic workshops and of course against all this doctors have to give business to pharmaceutical companies and that's the reason doctors prescribe unnecessary medicines to poor paitents kindly make a part 2 of this video after doing research if you need any kind of information regarding to this then I'm available because I've worked in pharmaceuticals industry for 5 years and a sales and marketing representative / medical representative and even after getting all these perks doctors see medical representatives as shudars like they are some low cast creatures

I have experienced first hand doctors like these, he gave me double dose of antibiotic - 2 times more than the company itself had suggested, which led to me being unable to fast in ramadhan for a whole week and weakness for 2 weeks. You have given example of aga Khan hospital that they usually see 4 patients in one hour ... What about the fee they charge ?.... If you visit an opd of a government hospital , we have to check 500 patients in just 2 hours.... It's the failure of government not the doctors .... Second thing which I want to mention is that there is lack of communication between the doctors and the patients .... Not all tests are being ordered is for making profits .... Sometimes it's very crucial to get these reports.... In this case , the doctors should communicate with the patients that why these tests are being done ..... The business of healthcare only cares for money and not the patient. I pray for a stronger doctors force who believe in their oath to overcome the business mafia and stuck-set administrators. As a junior Dr, I agree with most of your points. I want to adda few things, 1 There are set guidelines and standards in all the parts of world like when to give antibiotic and when to go for C section and when not. And doctors are obligated to stick to those guidelines, otherwise they can be sued. In Pakistan, there are no set guidelines to be strictly followed. 2 I personally worked in MAYO HOSPITAL LAHORE, there is no infrastructure in peripheral areas and all the burden is on a few govt hospitals. We usually see 400 to 500 patients in 12 hours medical emergency duty. With a very limited number of doctors, it's humanely impossible to give attention to all the patients. We need new govt sector hospitals. I know hundreds of junior doctors who are leaving country because there are no jobs for junior doctors in govt sector and private mafia hospitals are offering them 40, 000 or 50000 rupees for a month, after spending their 6 precious years of life.

KPK has very few big hospitals. The entire hazara division has to travel to Abbottabad for critical medical services. The condition of these hospitals is such that u prefer dying over being admitted there.

10:55 My friend in Norway says that normal delivery is far more expensive than C-section because the doctor has to spend approximately 6 hours for normal delivery whereas only 30 min for C-section. Secondly, I believe every female in Pakistan should opt for C-section because doctors in Pakistan don't know how to do normal delivery. Almost all the doctors end up damaging the vagina which causes all age problems for females.

Recently I was admitted in a private hospital. My case was JOINTIS(PELIYA) And I was 3 days and in these 3 days I had 12/15 drips. And I'm from a middle class family and our family doctor prefers that hospital and in that period our work is not too good. But after I got off from the hospital. I collect all raseeds and calculate the amount that was 14000+RS that paid for medical and the total amount was around 30000rs. The rest 16000 was room rent and 2 tests(forget the name).

I was very happy a very good step was taken by Sehat sahulat program to avoid C section when they just equalize the charges of C section every hospital and Gynaecologist want to go for Normal delivery because of more profit but govt stopped this good action And especially SSP nearly abolish the quakery because of Check nad balance every consultant moves to periphery but actually our govt and media cant see the doctors earning. They always point out their earning not the hard work.

I agree with 80% of what you said. Let's talk about the ct scan machines. CT and MRI machines have a rest period between each cycle, which is not provided in govt hospitals due to over burdening. That is the major cause of them going out of order almost 90% of the times. Why are young doctors opting to go out of country to practice? Because of lack of govt jobs. An mbbs medical officer dr in a govt tehsil level peripheral hospital checks on average 80 to 90 patients daily. How do they give 10-15 min time to each patient when there is a long line of patients outside the door? Why does the govt not give opportunities to those going out in pakistan? Why don't they build more hospitals and diagnostic centers to meet the increasing demand of the population? Apne khubsurat road bana di aur phir uspe over loaded trucks chalana start kr diye. The road whose life would have been 5 years is reduced to 5 months. I agree with your statement about the black sheeps in medical community. The proper way to tackle them is through legal means and not inciting the public to throw trays of food on passer bys. There is a health care commission that can cancel dr lisences, impose fines, even serve jail time to drs. You should guide the public how to get justice through proper means instead of causing hysteria. There are a lot of things i want to say, but my last point in this long comment, which i know will fall on deaf ears because that's who we are is, govt hospital labs and pharmacies are not equipped with proper medication and diagnostic tools. In the pharmacy, we have limited amount of drugs. 1 type of pain killer, 2 types of antibiotics, a steroid, anti histamine (anti allergic) and in some cases insulin or antihypertensive. In case a medicine is not tolerated, or the patient is allergic to said medicine, or the infection is resistant to such medication, doctors in govt hospital have either of 2 choices. write a prescription from private drug store, in which case they are labelled as having kickbacks from some pharma giant or owning a stock in that drug store. The other option is referring the patient to a tertiary care center, which in turn may also have no medicine or is too far away, in which case, we are labelled as not doing our jobs properly. Instead of blaming the whole community, try doing some real journalism. I can help you expose the problems in our medical system, but alas, as aman says, you guys know everything and rest of the country are dunces. Point the finger at yourself first, correct what you say, then mould the minds of the people.

I have a bad experience of CMH Rawalpindi. I have arthritis. I have gone through a series of tests and bone scene. Every things was normal. I as a patient know that all were done to generate money to accommodate their entitlement patients. Rest of private hospitals are working exactly to your analysis.

In my earlier stage of life. I worked as a head cashier in a pharmacy of a private hospital. It wasn't a huge hospital but it was a middle tyoe of hospital. And sir the way they exploit the people it was on huge scale. And i don't really like that job my inner soul wasn't allow me to be a part of that system. I worked for just a month and i resigned the designation. The way they exploit people is in multiple stages. 1st the patient how knows little bit medical terminologies they gave them huge prescription as much long for a week. 2ndly the middle class people they exploit them by overpricing and providing them local brands medicine of cheapest brands medicine in the price of a multinational brand. Thridly they buy locally fake medicines which even just coated by glucose. They provided those. Also the bandage, gaze, circum, accidental, emergency patients are a jackpot for them. They put drip charges, injections charges etc individually in those cases excluding doctor fees. Also you told the right thing they keep bandage and injection ampule etc. Also they provide and offer the milk and nutrients product like multivitamins and proteins tabs and growth and child nutrients in froms of powder which were locally made by unauthorized and illegal manufacturers. Like they buy a product for 100 rupees and sale them to 2000 rupees. Also they put discounts on every slip of 12% for patients it impacts on patients that these are the honest hospital. 😂 😂 Even the doctors haven't there degrees some of them done a technician courses and nursing only two or three doctors have a Mbbs degree but those were also doing there practice.. So thats the common thing in every city of pakistan. The way i know because all pharmaceutical companies needs my signatures before the payments. Because i have to ensure that all the items and orders are completed delivered and the quantity were the same as they delivered. So i have to check and balance those thing as well. So that's why i knew these thing. They just put a B-12 injection in a 500ML NS /DS and charge huge amount. Only the cost of these thing on that was just 100 to 170 rupees and they charged 1500 to 2000 just for a single drip on a bed of general ward. In general ward they arranged a wood table and put a pillow on it and they IV the patient.
