+1 - I'd love to see a comparison against those units, also a 4 or 6 slot lunchbox with line drivers, compression and saturation (neve 542 tape emulators maybe?) all could be had for this price point.

Sizewise, they can surely make it bigger, but that's the point I guess. Pricewise... I guess these are handmade boutique etc etc little jewels. Too expensive for me, but if I think there's people that speod $500+++ for a gold plated HDMI cable, I can't get angry at anybody for something this good being expensive.

@@6884 well, its designed for the traveling musician, that's why I wanted it to be as small as possible. and soundwise its in the league of a distressor, or a 'real, big' ssl compressor which simply cost that much. good analog technology costs money, the lundahl transformer alone cost around 65,-EUR each.

@@6884 thank you! yes, its a different game and I want to state that this thing can do magic in the studio, but as all the really good outboard (and I mean timesavingly good if that makes any sense), unfortunately, in a realistic calculation with a chance to see break even somewhere, it needs to have this price.

hey rittik, good to read from you! its best at signals that need to be put to the very front of the mix - of course its a nice compressor on its own, but there are better ones in this regard. a vocal punched to the front is great here, a smooth as silk vocal is not its main strength, hope that helps!

well think of it like this some compressors cost 7,000 to 9,000 I guess when it’s 3,000 it’s on the more affordable end, but truly I would agree it’s quite expensive

you're right, and the tokyo dawn plug-ins where a good choice! But: what's on the market that solves that issue without (!) a computer? honestly, and I say that openly: if your task is to sound loud and thick on stage and you have a computer (which most people have) you don't need my device. If you're a professional music producer and are looking for a device that saves time in making everything sound louder and thicker at a push of a button then you should consider my device. I realize how complicated to market this thing is, as it breaks with the conventions of normal top-notch studio gear: it totally sounds like a 3k compressor, but in this range people think: bigger is better. as the last device in a hardware-only liveset with instruments from the range from 300-1500 people don't seem to accept that price. well done, stimming.
