Don't blame anyone unnecessarily. He had played only one ODI in his career and that too in 1997 , two years before 1999 WC. How did he belive that he will be capped ina WC with such less experience??. He has played only four test matches in his career and all four of them were in 1997 itself. His bowling average was 57 which is just terrible. How did he even thought that he would be called for WC?? What qualities he had to become a part of WC squad? Venkatesh Prasad, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Rahul Dravid they were also from Karnataka. Why did not BCCI do politics with them?? Don't blame others for your incapablity and incompetency.
