Eurodance (sometimes known as Euro-NRG, Euro-electronica or Euro) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the late 1980s in Europe. It combines many elements of hip hop, techno, Hi-NRG, house music and Euro disco.
This genre of music is heavily influenced by the use of rich melodic vocals, either exclusively by itself or inclusively with rapped verses. This, combined with cutting-edge synthesizers, strong bass rhythm and melodic hooks, establishes the core foundation of Eurodance music.
Latin pop (in Spanish and in Portuguese: Pop latino) is a pop music subgenre that is a fusion of US-style music production with Latin music genres from anywhere in Latin America and Spain. Originating with Spanish-speaking musicians, Latin pop may also be made by musicians in Portuguese (mainly in Brazilian Portuguese) and the various Romance Creole languages. Latin pop usually combines upbeat Latin music with American pop music. Latin pop is commonly associated with Spanish-language pop, rock, and dance music.
Often in Latin American pop music, elements of such Latin American genres as salsa, samba, banda, flamenco, tango and reggae are used. Latin American pop music is characterized by a fast rhythm. African music and hip-hop in particular had a great influence on this genre. In England, there is a label "Heavenly Records", which promotes artists who perform hip-hop with Latin elements.
