In this video I show you how to use dodge and burn, to add more contrast and sharpness to your travel images.
That's relatively easy to use, but it does take a bit of time, to make it look great with vibrant details.

Great tutorial Lou. Just one tip - don't bother using a grey layer, just make it a transparent layer and the rest works as before. The advantage is that you can simply undo or remove the effect with the eraser tool, no need to sample gray and brush. cheers

A 50% grey layer will be more recognizable in the layers panel (handy if you have a lot of layers), and also easier to look at if you solo the layer. But in theory, yes you are right, you can also use an empty layer :) It all depends on workflows and habits after all !
