The charger looks freaking sweet! RWD really requires a dedicated chassis with more steering lock and better gyro than what you'll get here. If I purchased the charger, it would probably be more to just be a shelf queen... an expensive shelf queen...

It does man, I love it! Yes this would be better even in 4wd if the wheels turned a little further. Maybe that’s part of why the challenger drifts so much better. I will most likely buy the exact same body, make it actually black, and use the body as a shelf queen, and still possibly get that off road body for driving. Haven’t decided yet 🤣

I forgot to say, these are very well done. Tge frame is very advanced with the cantilever suspension, and the body actually looks like a 70 charger. They did their r and d on this car

So in another review or 2 the charger and truck are coming with the gyro reversed and you have to manually go in and switch it. That helped their drifting tremendously because the car/truck front wheels were then synced in the correct direction. Hope this helps.. Great vid yet again! Love your channel bro!

Thanks man. Ya neither of these were reversed. It was calibrated correctly. 😃 I recorded this well before the other videos came out so when I saw that I double checked. All normal luckily! I did have to reverse the HNR Panther (red challenger) car I have. Thanks bro!

It drifts nice in 4wd, but it just doesn’t have enough turning radius for it to drift in 2wd. It could definitely be done by someone with more drift experience than me. It’s cool that the option is there!

That's a sweet little drift car headlights tail lights even reverse lights. All of these new RC cars that come with front and rear LED lights spend over$1,500 on a xmaxx ultimate and it doesn't come with lights same with the new Max slash. But you get an Amazon special for $150 and they got lights. Most likely because they want you to buy their light kit aftermarket for another 50 plus dollars

Awesome Evan . I really like the old school charger regardless of the blue metallic paint. I love the ford looking truck too, but the graphics are hideous to look at and ruin the good lines of the truck in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy this at the price they’re asking. Like you said, with a $40 off coupon it helps but this to me is a $240 ish car and truck . The HNR Panther drifts easier not only because it’s 4wd but also looks to have a shorter wheelbase and a conventional suspension which isn’t over sensitive to steering inputs and road surface where as that cantilever suspension is way more sensitive. Like you said ; more practice= better drifts! I really like that these can be manually shifted into 2wd. That’s awesome in my mind although not the easiest set up to work with. All in all, a bit overpriced , but really fun vehicles. I’d be more than happy with any of them, but the body graphics on the truck have to go!😂 great review as always!

I still love the Charger too, just would be 10x better if actually black 😃 Same with the truck, I like the body style, especially that old ford grill and even the blowers on the hood, it’s just those awful “‘merican” graphics lol. It’s not the Stars and Stripes I don’t like, just the way they layer them out lol. I see their reasoning for a higher price, but it needs to be able to drive as perfectly as the Panther to truly justify it. The $280 with coupon is still decent I think being the attention to detail and the obvious work they put into it, but should have atleast come with maybe some slicks and a set of wheels with softer rubber too. Also, I was able to keep the charger at full trigger, even on wet pavement, which I wasn’t able to do with the Panther funny enough. I assume they used the cantilever system so they could use the low profile design if the charger? I’m not sure but yes I’m happy with the charger, the truck would likely be fine with better tires. You’ve got to give the style points to the pine cone models but I think the FTX stinger or the panther depending which side of the Atlantic you’re on is the superior car transplant the 69/70 charger body on to the FTX chassis you’ve got the best RC muscle car ever

I agree completely with your assessment, which I believe is exactly how I worded it minus trying to do a body transplant. I haven’t looked but the wheels may not line up well being the charger has a slightly longer wheelbase. It could be done somehow for sure!! Love these 69/70 chargers!

The wheel base is too long on the charger and likely would not look very good, even if you were able to make it work otherwise.

I watched a few videos on the red one and a few guys had tires grinding on body...did you have that issue at all? Did you figure out the best fix for it..other than that red car seems great..i think it did 55mph on 3s in one video i watched..i watch yours a few weeks ago and you beat it to death.not sure if any thing broke or not..also not sure there are parts available..next street car is a toss up between the red car and the 1/10 rhalarro mazda body race car...not sure if you tested rhalarro or not..great review as always..😊

I don’t think I did anything about the tires hitting the wheel wells. The wheel wells got slightly damaged after a while so when I put a second set of tires on it after this video, I cut them just a little bit. No nothing ended up breaking this time except the tires, but later on I did break a steering knuckle after hitting way too many curbs. Lol. Parts are available from some sites in the UK. So for me and others, we have to order from the UK for now, but atleast they’re out there. Even some metal upgrades (knuckles). I have not reviewed the rlaarlo speed car but it may not be a bad option either. Thanks!! 😃 Thanks!!

Also when tires balloon they dig into frame..i think the solution is tires similar to mjx hyper all road tires...no rubbing on body or frame..zero ballooning i think...i will check next time i run...thanks for sharing

The hupergos don’t seem to expand as much but the tires are much much smaller and might expand with the higher wheel speed the Panther probably gives lol those tires also get toasted quick so I can’t imagine how fast they’d be gone on the bigger car lol

I pretty wore out my new race cars tires i received today...i ordered some 8mm to 12mm hex adapters so i can mount hyper go rally wheels on it...thoughs hyper goes tires are pretty hardy and plenty grippy 😊

With the car being that long and all the weight in the front of the vehicle yeah you need 4 wheel drive! Lol you got that rc that discipline rc said there was only one of 😂😂😂😂 and it was talbots. That's not a polycarbonate/"lexan" body. Its made of pvc. You can see that on the white crunchmarks left on the body.

Tiles you can get body posts like for the truck version, they have the off-road charger body with a roof rack and they also have a black/green truck body. Could certainly retrofit other bodies im sure

I don’t know I’ve never looked but possibly. Cheaper ones may update even slower and give inaccurate results. See if you can find that same one. Type in speedometer or GNSS and see what comes up.

Yes! It’s right here: amzn.to/3Gy87zw FYI, almost a year and a half later, that camera is still 100% perfect. I’m super impressed. Never had to charge it, the solar does it completely. I installed 5 of them for my dad about 1 year ago. No issues with any of his either. 👍

This are no drift vehicles, nor are the tires meant for drifting. No wonder they didnt last long.

Well they’re fun to drift so they can be whatever you want them to be. Just like an infraction. Same type of car. The tires are known for not lasting long. 👍

And see there ya go. That’s it! Now people know what it can handle. This car definitely takes practice. Completely different over that red challenger. Now we all know a few curb smacks may break the body, but the car will likely continue to run perfectly.

So I used the one that came with ky JLB Cheetah 3 years ago. This set here seems to have the proper dimensions, little pricey though. amzn.to/4bjU5NS You would also need an EC5 to XT60 battery adapter.
