Dude let me say... I can't possibly thank you enough for this video... 2014 dodge dart 2.4 gt. Starting thinking I just needed to do the CDV delete.. when part came in guy came over and there was what looked like a Crack all around the bell housing I thought the noise was just a motor mount out.. turns out it was the dual mass flywheel that decided to eat itself🙄🙄

* *WARNING* * Don't make the same mistake I did and get lazy marking your bolts! With the two 15mm bolts of different length that secure the starter I forgot which goes which. Looked up a diagram on MOPAR's website and it showed the (76.5mm) bolt up top and the (60mm) bolt below. This is completely wrong and ended up with stripped threads. (LONGER BOLT GOES BELOW, SHORTER UPTOP NEAR THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY) Because of the tight location and fact that i would need to remove the transmission again to do a proper helicoil repair (lazy but not going to happen until the starter goes bad) I decided to add copper wire and red threadlocker to secure that bottom stripped bolt. Worked like a charm and got it hand tight to roughly 15-20 ft lbs which should be plenty. Thank you for the informative and VERY WELL shot guide replacing the clutch. FWD side mounted trans are a HUGE pain, especially solo

Dang good video, saved me a lot of figuring it out as I go. I used your part numbers for the axle seals as well. I’ve been pulling on wrenches for over 40 years, up until now have been able to avoid front wheel dive cars. I started out with a jack under the trans, but realized I was going to lose it, ended up lowering it down with an engine hoist, worked quite well. Thanks for putting this out there.

Best video ever. Very well explained and filmed. Amazing. I have 2013 dodge dart 1.4 multiair. smell came from the hood and then service transmission message. There is no reverse gear any more. No gear available message is also there. Can't drive faster than 50 kms/hour. I wonder if my transmission will require the same procedure. Any suggestions?

I read the flywheel must be reset. How did you make sure it was alright after the removal? I am planning to replace my clutch and flywheel soon. It seems a special tool needed to reset the flywheel.

I am so happy that my Dart didn't have that cloth shield when i bought it. No matter what the manufacturers justification is for those shields, they are pointless. I realize aerodynamics and all that, but those shields are just a nuisance as far as I'm concerned.

It's normal when bleeding the clutch for the pedal to go to the floor and have to be drawn back up by hand right? Then after 15-20 or so processes you test feel your clutch without bleeding it again and that's it right?

I have a question im having a very hard time ordering the union clip connector or the rubber piece from the slave to the hose mopar keeps canceling my order ... or my car was missing that piece. All together

On the flywheel. How many miles was on the flywheel? How much play did it have side to side/ up and down. Mine looks clean for 130k but have no clue from previous owner if it was replaced before.

I have a 2013 dart and it has a leak where the slave collar line meets the line coming out of the master cylinder. Does anyone know where to buy that line or hose?

I can't get the transmission to go all the way back on all I did was change the slave cylinder I didn't change anything else. I can get it really close but it won't go all the way to the engine. Am I missing something?

When I started the bleeding process no fluid would come out while the other person pushes down on the clutch pedal? And the clutch pedal stays on the floor and you have to pop it back up?

You got wrong way because clutch plate bolt is one time only use it. You fuck up the car possible buddy. Stretch bolt 15torque found and 50 degrees. It is possible fuck up the damage engine and transaxle.
