I drive a 2014 Dodge Dart SXT Rallye. I just got this engine light after switching into reverse. As soon as I got onto the highway and needed to accelerate my car got very sluggish. A few mins later I parked my car and seen the gearshift indicators turned red. I switched to reverse and drive to figure out what was going on and the gear shift was rough. No noise but the car jolted. Seen online forums suggesting it’s the TCM Transmission Control Module which is located in the passenger footwell under the carpeting. Must be a faulty module. Gonna see if Dodge will do the right thing and fix this issue. I try to do most of the repairs myself because I don’t trust others repairing my car but this is out of my element.

I’m having the same issue, got code p1d76-00 “ gear shift actuator “d” position out of range” was told it could be the tcm

I have a Dodge Dart 2013 in it will happen the same n I took it to the dealership n they changed the valve body of the transmission n it ran like new again

I have gear issue in 2013 dodge dart . It's literally not moving . When I took to dealer they said it's hydraulic valve body issue . And I received the quote from dealer itself around 5449 $ . Km is 172000 . Was having 150,000 warranty.

@@crystalbegay6352 I just got mine fixed, ended up being a wheel bearing issue. Which caused the transmission to act up, it senses the wheel bearings friction and tries to adjust. It runs perfectly fine for me now.

Thanks Benny turns out I need new spark plugs which they are charging me $390 at the shop to fix. Thinking the additional warranty I bought back in February when I purchased the car would cover it, the mechanic said the warranty company will not cover it. So now, I'm waiting on the dealership to call me back about this warranty that they sold me at the time of purchase because they said it would cover anything under the hood if something were to happen except the transmission. So hopefully the dealership can take care of this or I may have to give some bad reviews and some.

Mine is doing the same shit! mines automatic and does stutter and lag and now my engine has a weird ass noise coming from it AND the engine light just came on! im gonna see what the hell is going on !

I'm having same issues except I've got charged 1,181 wen it's recall related saying service transmission gear autostick unavailable any idea war it can be I'd like be able drive my car again
