Thanks Chris. My van's instrument lights would not turn on and the van would start then die 2 seconds later and then it wouldn't even turn over. My sliding door started acting up the other day. I messed with it and now the van is running thanks to your video.

Take dash apart and resolder all the pins on the opposite side of were u plug in the adapter to the circuit board

If your having problems like I described . It could very easily be in the driver side door jam inside the rubber boot. There is a video on how to take that apart and asses if the wires are damaged in there. For my van the damage was the plugs at the bottom of both the sliding doors. One plug was so corroded it would not come apart . Hopefully yours will come apart. I had to cut the plug out. If you can get the plugs apart on both doors. there is a little gray looking plastic lock on each plug. All you do is slide it out. And then pinch the plug with your thumb and pull the plug apart. Some times it can be a little demanding to pull apart. ONce you get it apart look inside of both ends. if the metal terminals are blue looking. That is a type oxidation/corrosion. you need to try and clean them. I used alcohol for my van. You can get a special electrical cleaner however rubbing alcohol worked for me. It dry's very fast and i only use enough to dampen a Q tip . And then i swab the terminals . You will see the blue stuff start to come off on the q tip. If they are badly corroded and by chance you can not pull them apart. You may have to replace the plug ends. IN my case only one plug was damaged and broken to the point it had to be cut out. Let me know if cleaning them corrects the problem. I hope it works for you . You can also use dielectric grease to put inside the plug when you are done . It helps electrical connectivity in electrical connections like this on vehicles.

Don't give up you can do it. It may just take a little time. Make sure before you take anything apart. Disconnect negative battery cable. : ) it is the black cable.

chris L you are so amazing so I am positive my issue is the sliding door. The wires have been falling out for over a year now they hhhhave been caught in the door and sliced. I'm assuming this is causing the major electrical issue in the dash and with the wipers. We live in Belgium so finding a mechanic for a dodge has been impossible and finding a mechanic that speaks English is even more hard. I am going to take a look at it today and find out how bad the wires are all frayed

No problem! I give all the credit to god . Because he knows that when I am working on stuff I am always praying for him to help me figure it out : ) I am so glad it worked out for you. You can use butt/crimp connectors if you don't know how to solder. It's not hard to solder . They have some how to videos on how to solder. Of course soldering is in theory the best fix for broken wires however, I have used both and it depends. If it is in a hard to reach or accessible place i might do butt connectors. I used butt/crimp connectors for my van because it was a little bit cramped in that area. I think for this situation either would be fine. After crimping the connectors on the bare wires . Pull on them a little to ensure they have been successfully crimped inside the connector. I would rap it generously with black electrical tape. I would do this to prevent moisture from getting in the connection. Again , I hope everything works out.
