Thanks! Mine threw a P521, basically saying the same thing - oil pressure switch out of range - mine was showing 31 lbs. The other switch that faces the right side is the oil temp sender. After changing my switch the pressure remained the same. I changed the oil and filter and that solved the issue. So I'm thinking the pressure release valve in the filter failed. So you might try changing the filter as a cheaper solution ($10) vs the switch ($25) as a first level resolution.

my 2016 ram 1500 hasn't thrown a code yet. But only thing is that when i start the truck it says oil pressure low or something when i start and then quickly goes away

I have a shop quoting me 115 for the replacement is that fair or no? I don’t have the tools to do the replacement I should probably get that soon!

Well, no,but they will get the job done so thats is good, i think. U dont have to worry about doing it yourself...this procedure takes no more than 15 min.

Can i drive with the oil pressure at 99? Im about 1 hour away from a parts store

Is not recommended. The car will run just fine, but oil pressure sensor is there for a reason. I drove my truck for like 30 min before changing this sensor...nothing happened lol...but again is not recommended.

My oil pressure is reading 86 but my check engine light is not on. My oil is good not mixing. Do u think is the problem?

If the sensor is bad, check engine light will be on. *if oil pressure is too high and sensor is good, check oil dipstick level...maybe u have more than it needs. If u good there, then u can try the sensor. Question? Is there a problem or issue with the truck? Is it acting up?

I installed mine but it only went in like half way. After I turn truck on I see no oil leaks. Is that fine??? Or does the threats have to go all the way in???

No don't go all the way in...I did explain this in the video. If u force it u will brake that sensor

Look at the old one and u will notice it wasn't all the way in. And as long as it feels tight and no leaks, that should work.

Oh, my check engine light is not on. It lit up for a second but when I checked the computer on the dash it said no oil pressure. I just changed my battery yesterday too.
