Thanks Rob!! This worked. I tried several times to follow instructions to the T in the manual that came with the truck, but was unsuccessful. The KEY difference in your method is you don't turn the truck on, where the manual says to turn the truck on before doing the 3 times unbuckle/buckle routine. Funny the manual would not have the correct procedure. Thanks for helping remove a headache of putting up with the ridiculous chiming!

DUUUUUUUUUDE!!! You’re so fucking cool for posting this!!!! Zero need to pull apart the dash to get to the top right portion of the cluster to break the chime of remove it!!! This is the simplest thing ever, it works. You sir have saved my sanity because it’s always drivin me crazy for whatever reason! Edit: 05 ram 1500

Dude, THANK YOU. That damn alarm has been making me want to BLOW MY BRAINS OUT, so frigging annoying. I always wear my seatbelt as well, unless, like you said, I'm only moving the truck or going around the block. Damn thing has been getting on my nerves so much! Thank you!

I can confirm that this procedure does, in fact, disable and reenable the seatbelt notification chime on a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT.

Bro.. If you see this holla back.. Just bought a 2005 Dodge Dakota.. The problem is that my seatbelt light ALWAYS stays on... Can't get the beeping to stop.. I followed instructions but like I said.. My seatbelt light stays on 24/7.. Any info would help

I just found the piezo chime behind my instrument cluster, stuck an ice pick in it and destroyed it. All chimes gone.

Then I'd say you have a problem with the switch in the buckle.

Will this work if your seat belt sensor is damaged and beeps even if your seat belt is actually buckled? Mine started going bad but could be rigged to not chime if I stuffed an old shirt or something down by the buckle to keep it in a certain position....now it doesn't matter how I move it around it beeps anyway every time I drive it for about 2 minutes CONTINUOUSLY. If I have to stop or something the 2 minutes resets again and have to keep going for 2 full minutes without stopping. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE....HELP SOMEONE BEFORE I LOSE IT AND SHOOT THE DAMN DASH OUT LOL.

@@joshuachristian2126 i cut the wires to the seat belt buckle under the seat and twisted them together. that fixed it. then I did the sequence here just for good measure.

Please wear it while driving. If you want your eyeballs in their sockets please wear it. :) Being a cop for 26 years I've seen eyeballs outside their sockets & needless deaths because no seatbelt was not worn.

Thank you for your service, and risking your life daily. My mom would be pulling at the hairs on the back of my neck saying you don’t need to argue everything!! But I can’t help it, and genuinely would like to understand the floor in my own logic be that the case. Wouldn’t the accident itself (because of inertia) cause an eye to pop out regardless of the seatbelt situation? in fact, if you weren’t wearing it, your chances of retaining your eye would improve. Because it wouldn’t be as sudden a stop. You would more than likely be propelled from the vehicle, and loose your life instead, but hey. Lol no but in all seriousness i’ve lost just as many friends from wearing a seatbelt as I have from not. I also have several friends who are here today thank God, because in that situation, they were not wearing their seatbelt. Where is another situation as they survive because they were. The truth is that regardless of the choice to wear, or not. Whats going to happen is going to happen, and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. I have been in both situations myself, lived once because I did, services another bc I didn’t. And the reality is, that if my car didn’t belligerently batter badger me about it. and there wasn’t a law requiring me to wear one, I would be 100 times more likely to wear it. Lived in New Hampshire before this, no seatbelt law (atleast 18yr plus) and you hardly saw ppl without one. And if you did, good for them because “live free, or die!” The state motto. Used to be how the hole country felt, 😢 but not anymore.
