Wish i coulda found this days ago.. thank you for doing a post like this when i searched this there was zero videos that came up of how to do this outside of a vehicle... its always people doing it in the vehicle without clear videos because its hard to get a good line of sight when its all bolted up.

That is why I did it outside of the vehicle. You can get a sense of what your looking without seeing. Glad you liked it.

Previous video you were unsure of a bumper option. Look up 4th gen bumper swap. They sell brackets for like $30 you wouldn't have to fab them up yourself and it would be a direct bolt on

What size sockets are yall ising to take the starter bolts bell housings bolts torque converter bolts etc????

Geeez can’t remember. Get a socket set that has a wide verity of sizes and you should be good.

One question am just curious to know I have worked on trucks an car's all my entire life do you have to pull the whole motor to do all this couldn't you just drop the transmission an put it on a stand to do all this am just saying maybe it's a reason to pull the whole motor but I have dropped lots of transmissions with out taking out the motor with a clean surface an a creeper an a nice big working hydraulic jack an also jack stands just saying I would also change my transmission pan gasket an transmission filter also since it's out

Yes it can be done in the truck. The reason for the tranny and engine out of the truck is that we did a frame off resto on it. It was easier to show where all the bolts are this way while videoing.

DAMN. You cut through the only part I cared about. How do you get that stinking dust cover plate off??? Mine wouldn't come out, even with pulling. I had to pry it back and slip a wrench in between the oil pan, dust cover and bottom of the bell housing.

You have to take the starter off and unbolt it from the tranny.

@@WickedFabz Ya, I still had nothing. Even pulled the starter stud out. Maybe I should have loosened and slightly separated the engine and tranny. (Only pulled the engine, not tranny). Thanks for the video! :)
