Great point about not focusing on buying something thats in high demand in your area, but to seek other dealers out of state. Facts, I was looking for dealer who was selling new lifted trucks in FL. The prices were in the 60s and 70s. I then looked at dealers in Texas who had tons of already lifted trucks. So, I ended up getting one for 54k vs 70k. Not only that, the TX trucks came with better lifts, better wheels and tires, sprayed beds, muffler tips etc.

Very good video ,very good advice ,I actually stepped away from Dodge at the start of 2023 ,between the msrp going up basically 10 grand since 2021 and the bullshit with dealer markups ,I started looking at alternatives, Well I got more and more interested in the 1LE cars the more I researched and ended up ordering a 2023 2ss 1LE ,That ended up not being built because the dealership lied about having an allocation, So wen 2024 ordering opened up I ordered 5 cars ,and I finally got an allocation sept 7 ,I will be making msrp minus any manufacturer discounts if any ,But I've seen many that wanted markup ,Never pay markup guys

Offered a local dealer MSRP for a Hellcat WB over 2.5 months ago. They didnt take it. They have been calling me since trying to get me to buy the car for that now. That dang thing has been sitting for 2.5 months. Dealers are hurting.

Inflation and interest rates will have these cars sitting for a long time. I’m in no rush to get one. My friend just bought a WB scat with a 760 credit score and he still got hit with 8.5%. Almost a $900 payment. There’s no benefit of having good credit to get a good interest rate on a car. Just wait when the economy is back to “normal”.

I wanted to buy one of those two for more than a decade, however it's pretty dificult from where i'm from, and get 30k+ for a car, with all the life cost. I'll have to stick with regular cars and only see those on the web or on wallpapers. However when i'll be older, if i'll ever have the possibility to buy one, ill never buy an electric muscle car.

This is definitely an issue in the States... The Canadian market is much tighter, with very little inventory, and that inventory is going fast.

I had a fully loaded plumb crazy chally for four years. Absolutely loved it every single day. I sold it and it held it's value perfectly. But this world is too expensive in general right now. The prices would need to come waay down, not just a little.

I have a 2020 Charger Scat Pack. All I was going to do is trade in my scat and get a new one. My lease is up in January! But the prices are still very high and plus with a high apr for a lease! Not sure what to do. I might just buy off my car but i really wanted a new one with a last call badge on it. Sucks!😢

I also went for hellraisin, which I love but I've been told doesn't appeal to a huge number of buyers. I went on the last day of a quarter and they were very motivated to make a deal on a vehicle that was sitting for several months on their lot. It was a true win/win.

I’m still finding 21 Challengers and Chargers that are new and haven’t sold. I can’t remember last time I have seen 3 to 4 year models still sitting on lots. So I would say shortages is not so true. Hell I even found a new 21 Hellcat unsold on a lot. They had major discounts on it. Yet people paying stupid money for Hellcats. My local dealer has 122 new Charger and Challenger on their lot.

The reality of things is that it's not a high demand for a new vehicle; no matter the make, but especially for Dodge vehicles. Prices are crazy high in general. The costs of living is way up, but more importantly, regarding Dodge, specifically, their cars are at a much higher theft chance. These conversations are redundant, and Dodge Vehicles aren't getting any more unique for the Hemi powered vehicles for the price markups and age design. If you're looking to get into a Dodge for simple hype. It's unwise to do so; unless you're more than comfortable paying overpriced for a car that's practically hasn't changed much since 2015. A 2015 Mopar can more than meet your needs and wants with some modifications added if you're looking for that Hellcat performance.

Good video, but I don't know you don't go a little further and tell the people to just walk away from the cars lots for about 90 to 120 day and you will see Dodge step in and start giving some rebates. This would require the entire country doing this, but it would bring the prices down. I don't just mean the Dodge brand. I am talking about Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Toyota all of them. This works for trucks too if that your choice of vehicle. By doing this it throws that "BS" that your were talking about out the window. "Get it before the price goes up" over the strike. FTS!!!

You should not compare a dodge HEMI with a Fiat, not even an Abarth . I have driven them and they are fun but no match at all compared to a dodge HEMI, whole different concept

Dodge cars have some of the highest depreciation numbers once driven off the lot.

They will cut a deal on that narrow body, not the wide body.

With interest rates where they are, it doesn’t matter if they come down thousands. Plus the reputation they built over the last two years, Dodge loyalist have left the brand. I certainly did. I just bought a Ford ranger raptor last weekend and passed on a A Dodge Challenger and a Dodge charger, scat packs, Jeep unlimiteds and gladiators.

Dodge 0nly sold 80k chargers in 2022 and you can't keep a huge company like dodge in business with those sales. Honda sold over 130k civics and almost a million cars in 2022.

Challenger body style looked great 16 years ago when it was introduced. It looks kind of stale in todays world, especially at these ridiculous prices.

NEVER pay mark ups!! These cars are way too hyped up. IF they do increased in value it wont be for YEARS (these cars have been around for years they are not that special)! The dealers are willing to sit on high inventory because they are anticipating a car shortage with the UAW strike. If the strike last long enough there will be a market shortage and the dealers will sell their over priced cars to impatient buyers (not this guy).

Big discounts are a myth. Most dealers are much in love with their vehicles. Most are $10,000 over sticker, plus all the Mickey Mouse add ons the dealerships screw the buyer. This weekend car shopping would be the last thing to do. I found some dealers still have 2022s and a ton of 23 and 24s. Chrysler has a huge problem. Buy one and drive it off the dealers lot, ya just lost 15% of the value you just paid for. It’s called upside down and stuck with it.
