She may not have technically tackled him, but she did slow him down. Besides it's not even in her job description, most people with that position would step to the side. I particularly like how she got up afterward and walked away like a total boss. She is a badass in my book. Kudos ball girl.

No, he wouldn't be down because in flag football there's no wall in front of you. If that wall wasn't there it would have looked pretty embarrassing for the girl so I don't know what you're on about with flag football. Tackle also does not mean "to take on" lol no idea where you got that from. Believe it or not you can miss a tackle. Just watch the security guards chasing him. I mean technically they took him on so I guess they tackled him as well.

Great angle of the "non-play". Dodger radio made it sound like she laid a shoulder into the guy and brought him down like a classic rugby style tackle. No such thing happened. She barely got a hand on him as he juked and ran into the wall that was what really brought him down.

Definitely not a tackle but to be fair he ran into the wall because she got in his path and he had to cut inside. If not he probably would've been over the wall in a second and tried to escape. That said, I doubt he would've escaped from the stadium. Too much security all over and they were likely clued in on the section he was at by someone watching screens in the back.

I have seen many a tackle where all the defensive player did was not necessarily grab the ball carrier but was able to grab just enough of a shoe for just long enough to trip him up. Won't necessarily make a highlight reel but he stopped the ball carrier and that's what he was on the field to do.

For brevity in our rules for American Football you can legally "tackle" the ball carrier by grabbing any part of him and bringing him down. That's what she did so technically she did "tackle" him as defined by American Football. Regardless of this fact she's a courageous girl. Good job.

This is the video that needs to be published everywhere, not the ones that are from the opposite side and top of stadium. It doesn't take much force to bring someone to the ground when they are moving at high speeds, it's all physics. Hell watch football and how kickers who actually do their jobs take down runners.
