Joe Davis is a salt of the earth kind of guy. A family man, dedicated work ethic, and im extremely proud to say he's our new generations voice of Dodgers Baseball for hopefully many years to come. The entire crew behind the scenes making all of this run is outstanding and deserve all the praise in the world, thank you for providing the best work around.

Man, hard to believe that when Vin Scully retired.. I wondered how can they replace him.. who can replace Vin.. no one .. but my goodness Joe has done as good as a job as anyone could in following in Vinny’s footsteps. Very thankful that Mr. Joe Davis is in Dodger Blue.

Joe, you are the Vin for future Dodger fans. It's amazing to have had many years of Vinny and to watch a broadcaster that can reach Vin's caliber be born.

I love it when Joe calls Dodgers games. Gonna cherish it because I know eventually he'll go full time as a national guy for big games on Fox Sports.

Still hoping the Dodgers just give him a blank check when the time comes. Announcers are a very important part of what makes a good org, as Vin was able to prove for an entire lifetime.

Disagree, he will stay with the Dodgers for as long as he wants to be, for as long as they'll have him, clearly they're willing to work with his Fox schedule, he'll be here for another 30+ years

Remember Vin also did national broadcasts of big games for the networks. He was the announcer for the Buckner error in the 1986 World Series and he called "The Catch" in football.

I love Joe Davis so much. He is my current day Vin Scully. With that being said, I know it’s about the money and diversifying your resume, but I really hope he chooses the Dodgers eventually. He’s special and the Dodgers are special. Vin Scully knew him and wouldn’t want anyone else
@brianeleighton

Vin wasn't only the Dodgers broadcaster either. For a long time he also did national broadcasts. Only later in life did Vin start cutting back on that. Vin was the voice for one of the most iconic moments in NFL history. Vin was the voice of the Masters for a very long time as well.

@@brianeleightonRight, he did. But when Vin did NBC he would usually just miss Friday's Dodger game and be back Sunday. I remember one time he did the Angels game at the Big A one Saturday afternoon and was in San Diego that night for Dodgers-Padres. Joe misses so many games during the week, I guess to be at home with his wife and kids. As I write this the Dodgers are in Arizona. Joe did Friday and Saturday in San Diego. Sunday was ESPN. Monday in SD Joe goes home, Stephen Nelson did the game. Tuesday and tonight Stephen Nelson is doing Dodgers-Dbacks with Bulldog. Is Joe going to be back at Dodger Stadium Thursday and Friday vs. Colorado, especially with retiring Fernando's jersey? Who knows? That's what @TheBandgeek014 was talking about.

Joe is killing it. Much like Vin, he had the right stuff from a young age. I hope he stays the Dodgers TV voice for as long as he wants. One of the reasons why Vin is such a legend is because he stayed with the same team all those years. He not only was he voice of baseball for me, but for my dad and his dad back on the east coast. Hopefully Joe can have his era as well.

When we found out Vin was retiring, I thought, "man, baseball is going to be different in LA". But then Joe came along and it was the perfect fit. It was the start of a new era and what a job Joe has done. He and Orel, and the rest of the announcing squad are amazing at calling the game and making the game exciting to watch.

Joe needs to pick what he wants to do. He misses more than half the games due to doing other jobs. And that’s perfectly fine that’s his right. But the dodgers should have one guy. And not a crew of 10 different people doing games. Not all of them are good it’s not a good product consistently considering the brand. Yes joe is very good and I like him. But let’s not act like he’s the greatest ever. He could be replace if he doesn’t agree

I think the guy is more than slightly overrated, and to see people putting him in the same sentence as Scully is rather hilarious. He's not in the same stratosphere nor will he be. His over pronunciation of words ("It's gone-AHH" 🙄) and his sometimes prickly attitude that shows its face towards Orel and others gets old real quick.
