Yeah after rewatching the scene a few times, I don't think Butcher's brain worm blew Ezekiel up or tore him apart. There was almost LEFT of Ezekiel, besides a few scraps. Notice that the main parts left are flaps of skin, rather than pieces of muscle. Almost like it... flayed him... to get beneath the skin, and those muscles are missing from the room now. I think it ATE him. And that would REALLY fit with the Venom parody. But also, if this parasite got the Compound V instead of Butcher, and if I'm right about it eating Ezekiel, then maybe it specifically craves Compound V the way Venom specifically craves brains. And to top it off, a cannibalistic supe has already been seen this season, notably one with four leech like worms in place of a tongue. Neuman's daughter Zoey. I'm not suggesting she has the same powers, but maybe the reason the showrunners gave her THOSE powers was to kind of prime us to expect this as a possibility for supes.

Who else remembers the " Diabolical Series" and the Episode when the dying cancer patience who was giving V ? Could this be the same kind of thing?

Yeah, the cartoon showed a woman with cancer, who took V, but her tumor became sentient and was killing ppl. So Butcher took V after homelander said he had a tumor in his brain. That tumor became sentient its crawling around in his body but bet it killed knock off Mr. Fantastic 😂😂

Maybe that parasite is eating him from inside that's why it's protecting him because butcher is like a food for him

In the latest episode we see a bunny with temp v that butcher releases. A few scenes later it’s dead in the forest and three worm like tendrils burst out of it xenomorph style and butcher angrily stomps it out. Butcher probably has a hint to that being his future death.

Pretty sure, Butchers worm took control of his body, causing him to black out while the worm used his body to kill and probably eat Eziekiel. I believe this as butchers body, especially his hands were covered in blood afterwards hinting at his body being used in the killing. The thought that he ate Ezekiel is due to the fact there wasn't much of Eziekiels body left. Theres also a possibility Butcher has gain some type of psychic powers that warn him of troubles in the future by using visions of people who arent there, but that could also be just psychological stress. Theres also the idea that the worm may crave to kill other supes to ingest the V in their blood since it was created by the V. Which would make for a cool symbiotic relationship as Butcher likes killing supes and his worm likes eating them. This could also cause problems in the future as Star-light and Kimiko are butchers allies but he may lose control at some point where the worm takes over and tries to eat them for their V creating a couple episodes of tension. Anyway the only real evidence of that theory is that Butcher may have eaten Eziekiel and that Eziekiel is a supe with V in his blood, so nothing confirmed.

Homelander also told Butcher ther was a black mass moving around his brain. They are Venom! Maybe the real V modified the brain tumour that the temp V gave him, and now the tumour that was killing him is fighting to save him, because if Butcher dies, the tumour dies too

Homelander would just lazer Cindy and make her a mold hill of meat. I can't believe that people have already forgotten about Soldier Boy. Hell, even Queen Maeve would rip her apart. I believe that Cindy can kill regular people, but not powerful sups. I would like to see her and Neuman fight. That would be interesting.

Hear me out. Maybe the Worm is leaching off of the V that he clutched from Frenchie and it’s using that along with his nervous system ( conjuring memories and Images of Becca because it knows it’s the only way it could survive). Becca is the creature, but using a biological process to convince Butcher it’s her to get them out of the current perceived danger or to motivate him to keep living so that it can survive). I’m very curious as to how Homelander didn’t notice it though when he saw the mass. As for what happened to Ezekiel, it’s clear he was eaten alive in some capacity and other than protection, the worm may have been feeding on his Compound V. It’d be dope as fuck if Butcher had a suped up parasite inside him that comes out and devours supes for V. I couldn’t think of a better power set for him lol.

You seem to forget that the showrunner of the boys was the creator of supernatural. Or maybe you didn't see it, but we've seen something like this happen there before with the Leviathans. These creatures came from purgatory and was ingested by Castiel when he opened purgatory to attain powers and be the new God. While it did give him a massive power boost, eventually it backfired and ate him from the inside releasing these worm like/leech like things into the world. Now, while that was how they came into the world, the way they live as humans are a bit different, basically the body is a husk, a skin suit. That said, I think this parasite in Butcher would try to take over his body, setting him up to be the final villain in season 5. As he was always meant to be (as in the source material). Likely the character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the parasite urging butcher to give in, while his wife is his last remaining life trying to save Butcher one way or another.

What I never got about Venom was how it's able to phase through clothing while in the comics or some, it would literally rip apart or dissolve clothing its host was wearing.

I've a feeling that the 'parasite' isn't even a worm. It's a tendril, the tendril of the Compound V-enhanced tumor.

Could be a ringworm that got infected with compound V and became sentient and now it has to protect its host.

I noticed in one of the first 3 episodes, when they were fighting the guy who could duplicate, Butcher repeatedly bashed one of them and the way he was hitting REALLY looked like he was using super strength. Idk how to explain what I mean but I know it when I see it. I know The Boys are all badasses but the way Butcher was attacking made it look like that.

I think the parasite is a hallucinations; Becka is what he wants personally, his friend is what he wants professionally, and the parasite is what he craves and its eating him from the inside. Becka representing his humanity future, his friend representants his proffesion and past, and the paradite is the power he craves and is going to be his present.

It's a worm like a tapeworm that's reacted to the compound V. It's why you see it in the rabbit at the farm. Rabbits are well known for being infested with worms and parasites. Butcher had a tapeworm before he took the compound V.

Honestly there can pretty much be only 2 possible outcomes. Either option 1, the Parasite does a morph out like VENOM. This way he could easily rip through (Mr Fantastic) without out any damage. Cause let's be honest most supes have one thing in common and that's semi strong and pretty invulnerable. Or option 2, the Parasite gives him an insane amount of telekinesis power which could also explain how he could rip him to pieces without any problems. Either way he goes from seconds to death to waking up with no injuries and stretchy man ripped to shreds. But what do yall think 🤔 .

Its mentioned in the season 4 spoilers sent on twitter by The Boys's official twitter account that Butcher will have new powers but he wont be controlling them, so this theory is actually correct

I know this may or may not be seen. But lately Butcher has been seeing Becca pop up. Maybe this parasite thing is crawling around whenever Butcher is feeling Down or looks like he's losing. I think its using Becca to motivate Butcher to keep living so the the parasite can keep living. Whatever this thing is, it certainly doesn't want to die so it needs Butcher. So when Butcher was being strangled it panicked and tried rummaging through his brain, to show Becca in order to motivate him to live and fight back but when It wasn't working, it said "fuck it" and took matters into its own hands. I think this parasite will pop out only as a last resort and only when Butcher is going to die due to someone else's doing. I think this parasite may also be feeding on butcher so it can take the body and use it for its own goals. But hey its just a theory!

I’m gonna guess when he took the green compound v it gave him powers but was killing him he did mention that he also took the blue one that can heal you I think the reason he said it didn’t work is because it had late effects on him until he was dying (getting choked by Ezekiel) just like the dad (Hughies dad)was about to die he got the blue compound v which ultimately worked on him in the end and he opened his eyes.or the parasite activates in times of need and it has powers

I believe this is some parasite or worm that Butcher injected full of Compound V while attempting to cure himself. It wouldn't be the first time seeing other creatures with super powers in the show.

This theory could be true! I just realized by rewatching it. Earlier, in the episode where Butcher is taking a shower, falls and has wound on his cheek. That wound was big & left open, it might be possible for the parasite to crawl out of Butcher’s cheek, acting as defence mechanism. Attacked Ezekiel & going inside his expose right arm that Butcher froze off, Parasite blowing him inside his whole body.

Imagine that's what butcher was actually. Like that him in someone's body pretending he or it doesn't have super powers. Or just a parasite feeding off chicken soups

There's an episode in the Ninja Scroll series where there's a swordsman with a gigantic warm inside of his stomach. This swordsman goes around picking fights with skilled opponent so that they can kill him and rid him of that warm but that warm always ends up protecting him. He meets the main character and they fight. The warm tries to kill the main character and the main character call out that swordsman for using underhanded moves. That swordsman then tells the main character that it wasn't his intension. He's been trying to get rid of that warm for years. With the help of the main character, that swordsman was able to rid himself of the warm. But then he quickly realize that he can't not live without the warm and dies. The warm wasn't the parasite, he was. The warm was the thing that was keeping him alive and without the warm, he dies.

What if that big black mass surrounding Butchers head as said by Homelander is actually the main body of the parasite while the "worms" crawling under his skin are actually the parasites tentacles/legs at least the tips of its legs reaching from inside-out, presenting that it can control Billy with either hallucinations or when he is unconcious.

So my favorite theory amongst all this, butcher’s power is actually to consume and obtain new powers. Take note of the background they’ve been driving hard this entire time. Butcher is “nothing but a worm” who feeds off his current situation for survival. This would also certify that in the end he’ll be strong enough to face homelander solo, seeing that we already got the closeup of butcher and homelander’s 1v1 in the season 4 overview trailer. We know for a fact that supe’s powers are almost never the same, yet this draws the question how Marie’s power is the “same” as Victoria’s. Although Marie seems much more powerful. So why does butcher have lazer eyes just like homelander? Yet they’ve strove hard to confirm that this isn’t butcher’s actual power. So if this theory is correct, butcher may actually have access to every super ability that he’s ever fought. Either the worm consumed a small amount of their dna, obtaining the power. Or it somehow gives him a weird form of memory recognition and adds the power to his collection.

I can’t remember where I saw it, but there is established canon where some people with cancer were given V and the cancer tumours became sentient. My guess, it’s the same here for the brain tumour and might be one of the reasons Vought usually only give V to children….because babies are far less likely to have developed any tumours

If it is a cancer, I don’t see how the temporary V gave it to him, it was still an early version of compound V, but it still worked the same either way, what if these are his actual powers?

If this is true than the deep could become the most powerful supe ever First you need to know that one of his super powers is being able to control marine life and even enhance them past their limits as shown by making that sperm what swim faster than should be possible when it caught up with that speed boat. So the plan is to be able to give sea life compound V since we can assume everything can be affected by it and than control them to fight others for him. Could you imagine a whale with V in it and the comparable strength it would have compared to another human supe? Shit would be crazy and just Ike how the deep can breath underwater the V could make a sea animal able to breath above water if need as well.

The worm parasite could be a Small Supe with the power of transformation. The small Parasite Supe needs a host body inorder to interact with the world. Most likely hates Vought because of his in human transformation. So chose Butcher as Host to help take them down. The Parasite Supe had been spying on Butcher and his friends for years in the form of a Fly. Unable to interact/speak with them. Untill Butcher took temp V making him a viable host without killing him.
