This season feels like an LTM that's forced onto the player base whether they like it or not.

Team games are a ton of fun but solo is a catastrophe and fucking sucks.

What makes me mad is when peolpe are upset about the car mechanic, everyone calls them a sweat or that they just need to adapt or that we dont like fun. To me, fun isnt sitting in a car the entire game with little risk of being killed. Not being able to even play the game without spending the whole match in a car isnt fun. Other than that, the season is actually really good

I personally find it unplayable and not fun. I understand mobility items. But attack cars, attack gloves, jumping guitars. It's too much all at once. But maybe because I'm an old guy and I liked the days on Fortnite Simplicity.

The cars are op, sometimes way to op as the upgrades can straight up kill you when your not looking.

In my humble opinion, the fists and the cars were the straws that broke the camels back for me. Way too fucking overpowered with literally zero consistent or readily available(or reliable) counters to them.

Im someone whos trying to get better at the game. And when i thought i was good, they added the nitro splash, fists WAY to buffed cars and lots more. I think they need to nerf the cars, (not too much) and DEF NITRO FISTS, boom bow nitro splash. If they would also add anvil launchers, and emps I WOULD LOVE THIS SEASON. I am a competitive player but i also want everyone else to have fun. but the casual players need to have fun too. not just comp players, ALL. this season has broken the community and made it so comp players have no fun. Ive been thinking i might quit the game if this stays or gets buffed. I think everyone should have theyre fair share of fun. idk what theyll do about this but if this keeps up this could make alot of players quit. including big names like Clix, Ninja, and alot more. Stay safe out there and pray that this season will become balanced

Epic already showed us what they're going to do about the cars before the Season even started. Look at the weapons the Power Armor are holding in the trailer; minigun, pulse rifle, harpoon gun...theyre giving us a few weeks of this insanity, then they already have more counters ready to go.

Every time I go into the new season the are about 400k people playing and the next day I only see about 120k that’s how much people just don’t like season

as much as the cars do suck, I love this season. it literally brought me back to the game single-handedly bc I love the theme of this season. not to mention the guns are baller.

What makes me upset is that the sandstorm was bigger than the island its self. But it only collided with the bottom of the island. I enjoy the season but i think the sandstorm shouldve affected way more.

Build mode for me is absolutely unplayable between the OP cars, the Fist, and for some reason, ALL of the sweats are out this season.

People will say "get better" to mald that we dont enjoy the cars, the issue is there is no good way to combat them, no emps, no rocket launchers, the cars are just super campy, me and my friend played fortnite for 4 games and died to a car every single game, its just not fun to die to a car every single time. Its like their is no skill gap anymore

The stupid cars should be a LTM or have an option for no cars mode. If you love the cars ok, but if you hate it, like me, what to do? I would love to play the game, but I dont want to drive around and shoot on others who drives around, it's just boring.

What a great season to bring back C4. In Chapter 3 Season 2, Tanks were introduced to the game and fortnite buffed C4 to have a better chance at destroying a tank spammer. Since cars are starting to feel like tanks, they should’ve brought back C4 to better counter a car attack.

It sucks cuz no gun fight people are just using Gorilla boxing gloves which are overpowered

I wish that people would actually realize that there are two major counters to the cars that absolutely change gameplay first of all boom bolts. They do a lot of damage to cars, but do minimum damage to players secondly shield EMP they disable the car meaning that the player would not be able to use the car temporarily.

Fun fact you can get a mythic hand cannon from loot island, the mythic frenzy auto was unvaulted( get it at classy courts) and mythic gatekeeper is stil in the game at grim gate

I never understood the mentality that nothing is supposed to counter building. Like the nitro, yes it breaks walls.....shoot them. You can't shoot when your sprinting. You don't need height. Shoot them. You'll win. My only complaint is the mythic cars. Tone those down and I'd be perfectly happy

As someone who thinks this season is one of my favorite seasons of all time and having a blast with the new weapons, new pois, new vehicle attachments, etc, I do hope that they'll bring back the Anvil or the EMPs so both the casuals and competitive can enjoy it

Guys, you probably won’t see this, but try doing double crossbows against the cars. It does so much damage and it’s gonna make them run so that’s an easy counter just with 5 bolts it does 500-800 damage to the cars plus you get infinite ammo when you kill the boss with a mythic crossbow anyway so it’s a win-win.😭🙏

I love this season so much, hadn’t had so much fun for years in Fortnite. It’s really unique and so different and not boring. Maybe some things are a bit to strong, however the mythic cars could maybe get a little nerf as well as the fists! I disagree, that it should have been a LTM because then it doesn’t feel like a season. Also, I can also play really well without using a car. Of course, it’s a way more difficult to survive but definitely not impossible. Nitro-Splash on the other hand isn’t a problem at all. I would only change with Nitro that you can destroy only wooden walls immediately so it does 150 damage to structures when you are sprinting into a wall. We shouldn’t forget that this are only the first few weeks of the season and like always they will make some balance changes and they will also add more weapons and items throughout the season which will most likely also be a counter. I need to make clear, that I am only really talking for a build-player because I don’t really play zero build. I tried it again this season for the first time since chapter 3 but I am so bad in it because I always want to build and then I get killed because I can’t build in zero build but I am always forget about it. And it is also very difficult to balance out the meta with vehicles because vehicles are so different for build, zero build and ranked/ competitive modes

My thoughts: Epic should just stop promoting all these popular trends and movies and come up with their own ideas for each season. I stopped playing after Chapter 1 and came back for C5S2 and it was ok. Bring back OG Fortnite as a permanent game mode. The micro transactions era of video games is stupid imo.

Previously I said that it doesn’t suck but im changing my mind here’s my problems with it. The car meta is brain dead and requires no skill. All you have to do is spam grenade launcher and ram into people with spiked bumpers and you’ll gain a lot of kills in a match. It doesn’t require much skill or brain power and is ridiculously op. Next problem is the stupidly overpowered weapons. The nitro fist does a ton of damage and has a charge attack that allows them to run away if you get them low and does a ton of damage if you’re hit with it. And with the megalodon nitro fists it’s taken to another level of annoying. The boom bolt does crazy damage and it’s insanely annoying and crazy common who needs to aim when you can fire a high damage explosive arrow in the general direction of your enemy and get a ton of damage. Magneto powers. As if all the things above mentioned weren’t bad enough we got these. Now it we got these alone and no nitro fists or anything I’d maybe have less of a problem with it. It takes more skill than the nitro fists but is still op and annoying. High damage rocks that have large splash. Shield that protects them from everything and yeah it’s very annoying. As for the medallions they are incredibly strong very annoying the cars you get from them are also really overpowered. Then you got these ridiculously high damage guns like the gatekeeper shotgun. Let’s go over what was in last season just to compare. Zeus lightning. annoying? Yes. Not that difficult to counter? Yes. Wings of Icarus were annoying yes but nitro fists are just like it but allow you to also do tons of damage. And when the ride the lightning was in the game it was kind of better than the wings of Icarus since it wasn’t temporary but that’s just my opinion. Then you have the e-11. It was a good gun it was just like the tri beam laser gun. Just because it was good doesn’t mean it was op. Wookie Bowcaster was also not that op it took way more skill than the weapons in the game now. All the bending was balanced. Air bending worked purely for travel and wasn’t that annoying and only worked as a getaway option which sounds like a bad thing but overall still isn’t as bad as 2000 hp cars that can shoot 70 damage per shot grenades. Fire bending was alright. Earth bending was a bit annoying but was just downgraded magneto powers. Water bending was just another source of damage besides guns and wasn’t that bad. Overall last season wasn’t perfect but compared to now is really tame. And I won’t even talk about chapter 1 it’s so forgettable I forgot most of the things in it. 😂

My opinion is that this season is good. I like the fact that you don’t have to be good at the game in this season. Just hop in a car and shoot at bots or other players. I just get on to do the missions, storyline, hang with friends, and have fun.

"You can't do anything without a car" So, get a car. The thing i loved most in chapter 5 is getting a car and driving around the whole map doing everything in a car like ryan gosling, this season is a godsend.

I’ve been playing since ch2 s1 and got minimum teir 100 every season since then except ch5 s1 and 2, I got like teir 20 in both of them. This season is a blast imo. I wouldn’t be surprised if I get tier 100

This is stupid it's not broken when you can build a box around someone and trap them and instantly kill them in a half a second but it is broken when they can easily break out of the box.

I find the season great, just I found the cars and fists to be goddamn annoying (I’m saying this as a casual myself and I first started playing in s7)… i love the new weapons though (I can even double pump with boom bolt). But I don’t like that they only nerfed the cars bc of crybaby Ninja, who I see as a hypocrite who hates fun. I like the magneto mythic as well bc it can counter the cars as well. Reload is great as well I just would have preferred if they put the cars in an LTM like Car Royale like Air Royale.

If they can bring back the anvil launcher and possibly rpgs it might solve the car issue PLUS they gotta lower the fire rate on the machine gun and lower the damage or something on the grenade launcher. Now that I read that again the rpgs would make this season more chaotic but more balanced so win win

I think a better gauge of if the season sucks is player counts. Day 1 when I got on builds and zero build combined had 500,000 players. Usually day 1 is in the millions.

It’s a lot better now that boogie bombs are added, it makes them more of a mobility item instead of a weapon that you’ll kill someone with no matter what. You have to keep your distance and use strategy instead of just using the turret and launcher and destroying everyone. Boogies have made the game far more fun so you can’t just drive around and kill people in half a second, you have to use guns

They should also decrease build damage for the fists. I like them for mobility but they are completely broken. I just can't understand why Epic puts so much effort into nerfing builds when Zero Builds mode exists. It makes no sense to me, just let us use build

I honestly think cars this season are more annoying than mechs in season X, yes they aren’t as strong but there way more of them which is more annoying, and I actually enjoyed season X more than this season, it was a bit more bearable

This is very frustrating… its like epic is running out of ideas on originality and everything is a money grab… this season is garbage, the whole mad max theme has made everyone dependant on cars , so even players who aren't good can secure a lucky win simply by camping in a car the entire match and its just not fun anymore… i olay no builds and it is now significantly more difficult to enjoy with cars equipped with weapons… even back in previous seasons where we had the air planes with guns they would run out of fuel and become inoperable.. this just sucks , the battle pass skins suck, the small changes in landscape suck and i dont get the direction they are trying to take this game in but they are losing alot of core players in the process

From the future, they did nerf the cars. Something along the lines of, boss cars don't heal themselves, the grenades don't do as much damage to buildings and aeo, in solos all cars have reduced health, the machine gun is less accurate, and the crossbow deals more damage to cars and they added the boogie down grenades (they force the players out of the car).

I started playing a 2 weeks ago and I thought this was how the game was supposed to be played. I was having a terrible time the whole time. The only time I'd ever lose is to a car. Everybody on that game has bad aim... And there's no serious penalty for destroying the vehicle with them in it. Basically destroy their vehicle with the guns and get stuck with reloading while they're fresh as a daisy with full magazines.

The super cars should not be self healing. They should have less health and the weapons that are mounted should have less damage. It’s the end games that Suck. It’s a bunch of sweats spamming explosives. The game play balancing is way off. It’s very playable when the circles are large. It’s annoying. There should be an island wide EMP for the last 5 min of the game minimum. Players should also only be able to hold one medallion at a time. EPIC, please balance your game so average players have some chance of winning. At the moment the people that would normally be getting the most wins are getting most of them now leaving average players with almost none. I agree with a lot of your assessment.

They need to remove the car mods and balance the loot pool

The way cars can slam through like 5 layers of walls and one shot is insane. Gloves need to get nerfed a bit because their magnetism in cqc is crazy. Even better than shotguns in some instances. The turrets need a HARD dmg nerf. Yes, theyre fun and melt ppl, but its not fun when its every 5 seconds. Damage per bullet vs player should be 10 max. Against structures, maybe 25. BESIDES THESE TWO THINGS its a really fun season

Just filled with bots who would just sit in a car barley get any decent fights in ranked its just filled with players that sit in cars spamming instead of fighting cause they cant hang in a build fight

The problem for me is the collab weapons the magneto gloves ruin the season for just like water bending and now the marvel weapons are back I want to play a shooter game with guns.

The cars aren't indestructible. Use explosion arrows, get in their car or if they are controlling their turret then you can easily head shot shoot them through the window. Nitro glove I find a bit broken

Emp, Homing Launcher.. Disable all vehicles or vehicle mods once it reaches 5-10 players remaining.. or 100% Increased weapon damage towards vehicles only the last 5-10 players. Oh and it’s annoying how an enemy can just jump in your car, it’s annoying af if you’re stuck in turret mode, if u jump if they get you with the turret. Annoying season because of the cars tbh.

Nitro Bashing walls should consume stamina, so you can only break so many walls before you run out of stamina and need a recharge

I’m not liking it because I feel like it doesn’t feel competitive. It would’ve been cool if the cars are in a different game mode or something. The cars are basically impossible to beat because they are strong as hell. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CAR TO WIN (at least consistently) like yeah you might win a match but best believe your not winning the next one with a crown. As in all Fortnite just needs to lower the power of the cars and focus more on the pvp gameplay not with cars because as said it doesn’t feel competitive and the gameplay is annoying because your getting killed by some car with a turret.

In my opinion epic should add 2 main gamemodes before they destroy the game and kill half maybe even more of its playerbase. A gamemode with guns only for players who can actually shoot and are sick and tired of being killed by trash players who only know how to use hades chains or something of the sort.. None of the special weapon bs like hades chains or water bending etc. None of these OP vehicles that are literally impossible to fight against. Maybe the OG golf cart for mobility and we're done. Then a gamemode for players who miss 95% of their shots and prefer to use the special stuff like a special boy. Give both these gamemodes a build and zero build variety and watch the players return to fortnite.

I’ve been a consistent Fortnite player since chapter 2. I’ve seen everything since chapter 2, and I have had a fair share of bad seasons, but the past 2 seasons have been the worst seasons I’ve ever experienced. I’ve played a full two games of the new season and let me just say this game ain’t even fun to play at this point it’s way too sweaty and I literally can’t even play zero bill because if I don’t have a car, I’m just dead might try it again midseason but it’s unlikely and I’m just absolutely disgusted with is some of the cosmetics stuff they amped up the price of the bucks made skins more expensive and just overall it’s clear they’re just money hungry at this point and they don’t give a fuck about the players

The main issue with a lot of comp players is they just don't adapt. Battle royales are generally a lot about adapting to new things(especially fortnite) for these people, change up your strategy! You have new weapons and tools to work with, So WORK WITH THEM! nitro fists are a massive tool for this season, if you have them, use em to MOVE. we got things coming up that are definitely gonna help you out in terms of car fights that harpoon gun in the trailer can attach to cars and you can USE WEAPONS WHILE YOUR ATTACHED. My brother who usually doesn't play to often because he get pretty bored by newer seasons says this is the most fun he's ever had in a season, and it's only been THREE DAYS!

Oh yeah the problem of a car confronting you in zero build. Sure you can‘t build (and therefore can‘t build hiding spots) but you can use natural cover / bunkers or you can use the many movement items like shockwave grenades, nitro fists, nitro splash or flowberry fizz.
