The cactus bit (specifically the one where she assures Michael that she has the file and not a cactus) was the first (but not the last) time this show had me laughing uncontrollably for literal minutes. I had to pause and compose myself to continue. D'arcy Carden is a joy

The "Dress Bitch" plot line is one of my FAV things ever, every single part makes me crack up, and when Trevor shows up in the t-shirt is so iconic

I think the whole "pineapple on pizza is wrong and terrible" thing started at a time when almost all pizza was "traditional" pizza and Hawaiian pizza was the trailblazing alternative. "Hating" pineapple on pizza goes back almost as far as the debate about anchovies on pizza - something that has become so rare that I think fewer places even offer it as an option than ones that offer pineapple. In these enlightened times where people have realized that pizza was practically designed for experimentation with flavor combinations, the pineapple on pizza "debate" lives on as a meme, but I doubt anyone really actually gives a shirt.

So there is an extended version of every episode in the series, and in this episode, it adds to the running cactus joke. When Janet gives Michael the file, the majority of the file is just dozens and dozens of pictures of the same cactus. This is why when Michael is reviewing eleanor's file, he only has the highest and lowest events with no other information. (Also when he grabs the litmus test, he initially grabs the nomadic Mongolian addition and asks "did you ever wrongfully slaughter your kinsmen yak" before switching to the North American addition)

I really share your passion on the herd mentality against pineapple on pizza. It's so good, maybe not quite as good as classic pizza, but it deserves no hate

"Hawaiian Pizza" actually (other than the pineapple theme) has nothing to do with Hawaii. It was invented by a Greek immigrant to Canada. My ex-wife called it "California" pizza...which it never was. I am meh about pineapple on pizza. It isn't awful but it isn't close to my first choice of toppings. But if it is the only thing available, I will happily eat it.

You know who complains about sweet corn on pizza? Visitors from the USA, that's who! Because we don't do that here, and the first time we encounter the entire idea of sweet corn on pizza, we do tend to instinctively recoil. That's just a first, knee-jerk response, though. Because when it comes right down to it, I don't really understand the point in getting all het up and upset about other people's food choices. Let people eat what they like!
