Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. Take a listening to Chosen One, an EPIC OST of the Sword of Aramun. Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it. Another original Chagall's Dream brings back the moment of Forestella Festival in my heart, I feel like in my lucid dream seeing Forestella altogether in the future in advance. Forestella are a crossover group made up of 2 opera singers, a musical actor and a rock singer with a soprano range. Also Woorim is a bass he is a a basso profondo opera singer. So the lowest bass type.

Forestella is a (originally classical) CROSSOVER vocal group. Their version of this MEDIEVAL folk song is very classically designed, but they jump from genre to genre and only deliver the best performances. These guys have very different musical backgrounds, and thanks to very flexible voices, exceptional ranges and skills, they are able to cover everything from metal to reaggeton, in the best way. This is from old English folk song. Simon&Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too.

I get everything I need from Forestella! From, Opera, Classical, rock opera, rock, pop, jazz, ballads, tango, Korean trot, reggaeton, bossa nova, etc. They are an all in one package singing in Multiple languages . They are the true cross-over artists executing everything with perfection. They shine as a group and individually! And most of the performances you see are live (except for their album numbers for which live versions exist as well) . It just takes a little longer for the non-English speaking artists to be recognized by the world. But they are getting there. ❤️ Forestella!

I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella. Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. There's another Bohemian Rhapsody video filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour. I prefer their Immortal Songs video because it shows their acting in the performance better. In the Mystique live version it's too dark to see it well..

Good to meet you for the first time. Time in a bottle is a must. They are genre-busters who pay homage to the original artists but make the song their own. They do have originals too influenced by the eclectic tastes of all 4 members.

The show is called “ Immortal Songs” by the Korean broadcast station( KBS) . You see a lot of great artists give outstanding performances on this weekly show including Forestella! Contestants reinterpret songs based on the weekly theme. The winners of the weekly show then compete for the “ King of Kings” title twice a year. Forestella earned the title 6 consecutive times.

The theme for this particular episode of Immortal songs was “ Time travel” . 6 teams competed and chose songs from different generations. Scarborough fair being an old English ballad from the 18th century was a great choice by Forestella. They were eliminated with a difference of 1 vote by a team that sang a song from the musical Chicago. Still Forestella competed in other episodes and went on to win the King of Kings title that year and a few more after that.
