I was always intrigued by the post-apocalyptic no-kids world of Springwood. It insinuates that Freddy was busy between this film and the previous entry and committed a successful genocide upon the entire youth of a small American town. Freddy's dream of revenge against the parents of Springwood is pretty much realized. Evil prevailed. The rocking nihilism of the end song, "Why was I born?" captures the mood well.

I love this the way I have to love Jason X. Just so campy and plays so hard into the tropes in all the wrong ways. But dang it, it brings me joy

It was clearly meant to be kid friendly. I mean Krueger literally does Looney Tunes gags in it. And I love it. Not to mention it's arguably one of my favorite gloves of the franchise. I love the gnarly look with the wide splitting copper finger tips and the thick chuncky butter knives. Might be his most intimidating glove aside from New Nightmares organic claw.

The nightmare series is definitely one of my favorites. I guess I have a soft spot for Freddy's Dead because I saw it in 3D, in theaters when I was about 10 or 11. As a fan, Im down for it all the way 🤘

This was the first Elm Street movie that I got to watch in the theaters, so I've got more affection for it now than I had at the time. I can't really defend it as a film though. "It Stinks"

A nightmare on elm street Part 2 Is the greatest underrated sequel Ever . It’s a amazing sequel. My favourite and very unappreciated

New Nightmare was quite unique after this. This one came out for rent on VHS when I was about 14. They gave you 2 pairs of 3D glasses with it....if you "damaged" or didn't give the glasses back, they fined you 75 pence lol....

Not in the theater when I was a kid! The 3D was something of amazing I was never able to describe and never seen another,3D movie like it again.

I remembered liking this film, but when I revisited all the films for my channel about 6 mths ago I was surorised that it was one of my least favorite of the franchise. Even more surprising was my taking to part 2, which I credit tonwatching the documentary: Scream Queen, which gave me a new view of how to interpret the film.

I wouldn't mind you doing this with The Omen franchise. There are a lot of badly reviewed ones there that might be difficult to defend. And which one of The Exorcist films is worst reviewed? That's a crap shoot.

Being a massive fan of Freddy and this series,this one ranks as the worst. Even worse than the horrible remake. It's too jokey and not scary at all. Plus,I hated the idea of Freddy having a family.

Freddy's dead is the worst one in the series I really don't think the first one was ever out done and the reboot is not very good either

It’s definitely a bad film. Tonally screwed up, badly jokey, and barely resembles horror at all. I’m sure it made Wes cringe in bewilderment. Still, it has far more gusto and imagination than the Elm Street remake. I find the laziness of that remake far more egregious than the slapstick buffoonery at play here. Freddy’s Dead is terrible and a real chore to sit through, but it has a nice soundtrack!

Freddy's Dead is one of those movies that on paper, I don't like, but when I watch it, I actually enjoy it in the moment. I think they were successful at what they were trying for, but what they were trying for was a tad misguided considering what had come before. Still the lowest ranking in the original series for me, but enjoyable enough to watch every now and then.

This is poorly written. You're reading an essay dunked in a Thesaurus. People prefer to hear big ideas presented using simple words. Be more succinct with your next video.
