With a win over the Kraken on Tuesday, the Jets locked up home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs, where they will face the Avalanche. Which team has the edge in that matchup? TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

I think the Leafs will pull it off this year vs the Bruins. As long as Matthews keeps trying to score as badly as he was trying to reach 70 goals lol. I could easily see him dragging his ass in the postseason.

I hate to say it, I have been one to enjoy the leafs losing every year, but I see something different here. Boston isn’t as scary as they have been in the past.

@@gabew7480 read my comment again, I said, “As long as Matthews keeps trying to score as badly as he was trying to reach 70 goals.” In the last few weeks, Matthews was playing like he was incensed, winning puck battles, shooting from everywhere, flying around giving max effort. He didn’t do that in the postseason, so they couldn’t pull it off.

The Jets have been a great team for years just didn't have all the right pieces! I love the team this year but they quietly moved up the standings. I believe they can go to the cup this year if Connor can stay healthy!

Avs defense has not been at the level we've seen over the past couple seasons. The Avs have shown you can win a cup with OK goaltending as long as your playing quality Defense. As much as im worried about Gerogie this D needs to come together and player tougher and tighter hockey

Jets winning home ice advantage doesn’t mean much, I wanted them to win it for us the fans, however the Jets almost play better on the road. Seen lots of pathetic efforts on home ice this year.

Home-ice will be a disadvantage for the Jets until they break the hex and win a home playoff game with fans for first time in 6 years. The whiteout has not been much of an advantage recently. Hoping they can change that.

@@Dark-dn6gq That's regular season. Playoffs are entirely different. Everybody starts at 0. So what the Jets did in the regular season can be tossed out the window. And this Avs team is only 2 years removed from winning the cup and have most of the championship core from that team. And historically, the Jets haven't won a home playoff game with fans since 2018. So the Whiteout has not been an advantage recently.

@@ZZ-950 Well one team, knows what it takes to win 16 games to win the cup, and the other has 3 regular season wins against them. Can you guess which one is more important? Also, it was Oilers that had beaten the Jets 7 of 9 times in the 2021 North division regular season, and the Jets wound up sweeping them. So that's proof right there that what happens in regular season means absolutely nothing.
