I wish you could look around and see how female lacks opportunities in every sector including corporate. Do you really understand the grassroots-level struggle for them? in society, in family and almost everywhere. If you think there is no such thing nowadays, I really feel sorry for you. Do you remember the time when there were no female candidates in IIM Sambalpur batch few years down the line. Can you make a video for that? For equal race there should be same starting line, unfortunately it is not there.

My sister, it's not for women. Empowerment is due to the workforce demand of the industry, so they can improve their placement. Last but not least - Gender diversity improves their NIRF ranking. It's for their profit.

He is just saying making mockery of boys like this is not acceptable and there is nothing wrong with it . U should be humble for ur male counterparts before saying these things that too a respected mentor . But the fact will remain the same that these IIMs have nothing to do with u guys , they are doing for their betterment not urs . And yes if u want to eradicate this from grass root level then pls go and join politics and work for the empowerment of ur fellow women.

So many boys wasted so much money on its form and travelling to its interview (many boys travelled to other cities to give its interview). Most of the boys who were shortlisted didn't even stood a chance. I calculated and found out that even if I had got full marks in the interview, I would not have got selected.

IIM Vizag has rejected me even before releasing results saying that my interview score is less. Even though my interview was good. And this was not the criteria explicitly mentioned in the selection procedure.

Public Interest Litigation (PIL) should be filed in Supreme Court against such gender discrimination under the label of gender diversity in IIMs. Because already there is a reservation of 65%.

I understand women getting offended, you say that males have enjoyed patriarchy and this is your time, i agree, but at every stage of admission if women are given extra points and encouraged to continue forward, why are women still hesitant to participate why only 30% of cat exam givers are female, why not 50%, when sir said there should be a pink IIM sir didn't mean ki baaki IIMs mein only boys hona chahiye, what sir meant is make an IIM solely for women, don't take admission fee from men and make them go through hell just to give this kind of results

Do you really think women don't want to get education? It's society.... Believe me you might have risen up around good people who don't discriminate against women.. But i myself have seen people and even my relatives who can afford it but still didn't let their daughters get education outside the town..

@@relax8638 solution is to take online interview Not to make pink IIMs I know there is anger among male candidates. Aur sir ko bhi bura lagta hoga jab wo apne male students ko dekhte honge ese. But this anger should not be channelised towards females... If the problem is about money ask to reduce the money or take online interviews. Asking for pink IIM is bullshit.

The participation of women in the corporate sector is essential to include their perspective in the decision making process. It's not only about who gets into the IIM, it is also about the opportunity to get to a place where the participation of women is low but essential. If you look at the statistics, most of the MBA colleges have more male students than female, especially in which there are less or no points given for gender diversity. What do you think the reason is? Is this only because a particular gender has less caliber than the other or is there another reason? Also how does one know that the CAT examination (or any other competitive exam) is the perfect way to decide who is going to become a better manager in the future. Because of this, different B-schools are using different sets of criteria to decide who they want to admit. Before applying to any college first check the selection criteria and only then decide if you want to invest in it or not. Suggesting to make separate B schools is a good suggestion and I don't find it offensive (calling it "pink IIM" is weird though), however I also believe that in real world men and women work together so training females separately might have some disadvantages, and that is why I think 434:19 is a bad ratio and 20 point is too much. Also I completely understand how reservation or any kind of preference in admission can be discriminating in nature. Being an UR category student I can understand the pain of a GEM category student who has worked really hard to score well and is still not being able to convert a good college. It is really unfair and painful. There are colleges like IITs, and some iims that give no or less weightage to gender diversity and colleges like MDI (and some other top private colleges) which do not give reservations, go for them. In nature nothing is fair, but we as a society are trying to make things fair and just. If you believe that something unfair has happened to you, you should take the first step to change it. Share your advice or file a complaint on different government portals that are there to help you, or approach the court.

I brick laying maximum participation is of men. Women should do that as well and get reservation in that job as well as in oil rigs. Men should get reservation in teaching, medical and nurse jobs then

​@@DopplerCheetahYes you're right, you know in defence exams like CDS women have fairly low seats, in the latest notification out of 459 seats women get only 19 and wo bhi short service commission. In coast guards and many officer level roles women are not even eligible to apply. Also at the grassroot level, especially the works like brick laying etc women do participate and get lower wages than men. The point of what I am saying is that there is a need for women in decision making roles in corporate because products and services these companies are making are not just for men. Also change doesn't happen in a snap, there is a process and who knows in future there will be more men in the nursing/hospitality sector as well.

Unko bachapan se hi sikhaya jata hai ki tum Ghar me raho... Nahi pata konse baat ko kaha leke jaare.. Teaching me bhi kuch khass nahi hai As per ministry of education Primary education me 54.4% females hai Secondary education me 43.3% Higher education me 43.4% Doctors me bhi only 13% females hote Bhai bolne se pehle research wagera kar liya karo..

Yes, calling IIM Rohtak "Pink IIM" was offensive. When other IIMs have more male candidates, do we call them "Blue IIM"? Out of all IIMs, if one is prioritizing female candidates, what's the issue? This is an opportunity for women to get educated and explore more opportunities. This is not a new thing; IIM Rohtak has been prioritizing diversity for some time. People are reacting as if it's breaking news. If there's any talk about equality, it should be about increasing the number of seats so that everyone benefits!!

Look at the gender diversity of all MBA colleges and premier institutions like IIT. Most have very less females. IITs have only 2 to 3 percent females in their MBA course. So what if one college is giving preference to females...Let females get an opportunity somewhere at least But of course it has hurt your male ego, Mr.Amiya.. Shows heights of male chauvinism. Maam do you know there is reservation in iit and other engg institutions, and check your data on gender ration in iits it is never 2 to 3 percent. Kindly check the ratio in medical and biology colleges. Also check the female participating in jee vs getting in colleges and also check in other exams like pcs all have female reservation but in the judicious manner .

Sjmsom has gender diversity of 23% and give 10 marks for gender diversity. Iit delhi have 34% gender diversity and give 6 marks for gender diversity.
