I look at this desperate situation completely different from most. You NEED 3 starters, but you wanna make sure one of them is good? Ok. But you ain't gettin enough players. You KNOW the Saints are trading up from the 5th round. Kiss those late picks goodbye. The Saints will end up getting the 4th best tackle at pick 14. And then... what? Theyll trade future picks AND late round picks to get "the best player available." In the end, theyll have 5 picks total. A 1st rounder, a 2nd rounder, maybe a 3rd rounder, maybe a 4th rounder, and the last remaining pick, probably a 6th rounder. Theyll have no 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder next year. Probably kiss next year's 4th rounder goodbye. All for what? A lesser draft class than the average. They should have one pick in each round. If they were a good "draft" team, wed have mid-round picks OR multiple mid-round picks. I say... sacrifice your best asset (pick 14, Lattimore) and collect multiple picks. We have too many needs, too little young players, not enough assets or salary cap room. THIS could be a "rebuild" moment for this franchise. This draft is the one to stock up in the mid-rounds. The Lions want Lattimore. He is the "one-piece away" that can bring them to the Super Bowl. 👌

I'm not a GM, but if I was I am drafting OT, OT before anything else.

If I was drafting for the Saints 1-OT 2-DT Trading into the 3 round OT/Guard Trading back into the 4rd WR

Pretty reasonable....they can trade up into the 4th with their multiple 5th rounders.. Unclear if they'll have enough to get into 3rd unless they trade back or include 2025 picks

He knows how to play with the other guys still standing. Also, if I was Peat, I’m making them pay. 😆

People just bandwagon bash the guy. He improved got injured etc. Give the 1st rounder a little bit to develope. He is a bull. But needed coaching i dont think he was getting. . . .with that being said. With hurst retiring. We should just resign peat as cheap as his market value is. Draft bpa or a tackle at 14.

They havent given up hope on him yet but he has to deliver

Bring Peat back, and draft a tackle that can start day one.

Ram not going to be up to it. “ I thought” it was pretty clear when Loomis first spoke of Ram. Something like, do the procedure and then see about Ram’s future. NOT, see how fast can get him back on field etc. I think they already know the chances are better that he’s not going to be able to play. Don’t want to broadcast that, until you have to
@Fox8OvertimePodcast3 ай бұрын
It would be foolish for the Saints to think Ram will be back.. If he is then that's great but the team has to plan for life without him

Give me Brock and an OL in round 2. Get another veteran OL after the draft. Bring Peat back too if you need to. But don't pass on Brock.

he wont be there anyway.

Resign peat sunday morning. Mediocre. But serviceable. Can play anywhere on the line. Solid depth player who will probably play 18 games at every position other than center.

If nothing else he can bring solid depth

Yea I never forget him knocking the ball out of Carr’s hand in the Lions game. I’ve never seen that before.

Yep. You can always pick up a free agent lineman just as good as Hurst.
