Jimmy dropped 56 pts on the best defensive team in the league. Jrue, Giannis, and Lopez are all nba defensive players. Jrue and Giannis are 1st team.

Jimmy Butler doesn't coast during the regular season. He averaged 22.9 points on an impressive .539 FG% this season, handles the ball as a primary or secondary distributor, rebounds and defends. He's not been a regular headline during the NBA season since he forced a trade out of Minnesota, so people tend to overlook him. In the playoffs, Butler's skill level and leadership step up because he can game plan against the opponents in a seven-game series. He started emerging as a big-game player in Philadelphia, when he effectively was the team's closer. Since he's been in Miami, Butler has been dragging a team with OK talent outside of Bam Adebayo way above its capabilities. What he did vs. Milwaukee was just another game where he willed the team to victory against a better opponent (Game 5, 2020 NBA Finals vs. the Lakers; Game 6, 2022 East finals vs. Boston).

“If he doesn’t not win a chip, it’s not gonna matter bc 5 years from now what are we gonna talk about?” The audacity of that statement is crazy. The reality is what the media says on these shows doesn’t matter, Jimmy just had a moment most ppl can only dream of.

When you're not expected to win, then you're playing with house money since there is less pressure than with the team expected to win. Jimmy thrives in the underdog position. It would interesting to see how well he plays when he is the leader of a team expected to win.

I feel like the brilliant Joy Taylor has made Shady McCoy a better sports analyst. She is, was, and always will be tv magic. The best female analyst in the history of sports television. The reason being, is she wants to be better than than the best men.

You missed a important part of Jimmy's performance in game 5 of that finals when he was exhausted.... He was up clapping Rachel Nichols cheeks all night the night before. Most dudes wouldn't come close to those numbers the next night. Jimmy buckets is a living legend.

I think Joy oversimplified the situation. The Bulks don't have a 4% chance of coming back and winning. That 4% is any random team put in that position. The chances of a team making that comeback depend on which teams you're talking about. If you're talking about the 2020 Nuggets against the Jazz or Clippers, they defied whatever the odds were at the time based on the make up of the teams they were playing against. It's not simply a matter of the ratio of times teams have overcome this deficit (4%) but which teams are playing. To clarify, the odds of the Bucks beating the Pistols three games in a row is much higher than the Bucks beating Boston three games in a row. It's not just a matter of two teams playing in this scenario but which teams are playing.

I'll give Giannis the respect when he can hit the mid range jumper on and off the ball
