Some parts of this video were removed because of copyright claims from the NFL, sorry for the random cuts and inconsistencies.
Is there a more hated quarterback in the NFL right now than Kyler Murray? I am not a Kyler Murray fan but the short jokes and video game jabs are the least of Kyler's issues. If he doesn't start winning he might be remembered as the most expensive bust in NFL history.

I don't hate Kyler, however his production is lacking for his contract extension. Kyler took the team to 1 playoff appearance and lost. His comparisons has been with Russel Wilson and Patrick Mcholmes. Expectations for Kyler is very large he can win games but he has to be consistent and earn that extention he signed.

Thank you for making a well-balanced critique of this team, our quarterback situation, and K1. I made a comment on Mighty Angus' video summarizing my thoughts, and you included the single best statement on the matter: it's his own fault. This is my team, and I want success for them, and by extension, him. But for all people claim racism, or mistreatment and hatred, the previous coaching stuff catered to him, and he handled adversity very poorly. He melted down on the sideline, on national TV, cussing out his head coach. You just don't do that, certainly not as a professional player, and follow up by claiming you were scapegoated after your horrendous performance in the playoffs. Zero accountability, he can't see the middle of the field, no maturity, and that bizarre NY Times article, coupled with his BMOC sense of entitlement. It's not hatred or anything else, folks, it's stating the facts

I'm one of those guys who's 50/50 on kyler too. It's crazy that there seems to be no middle ground on him. People get childish about it. His defenders honestly believe 'he's a top 3 QB if he just had the right pieces' (they've been saying this for years) and his haters say 'he's a talentless midget who plays too many video games.' (which is also stupid) I think he's good, not great. I don't think he will ever have sustained elite play, but he's certainly a solid starter in the league. It just comes down to money. I don't think he's worth how much we are going to pay him. I've honestly liked his personal growth recently too. No hate from me whatsoever, I just have a feeling we will be having these same 'if he only had the right pieces' discussion 5 years in the future.

@@tdbowenmusic exactly right, he's honestly not earning his contract, or better yet, not playing up to the heights of his lofty draft status and his top 10 salary. He is mid-tier currently and the time to keep identifying potential abilities is long past and he's due to receive some lofty expectations. You got paid, have a new coach that has supported you publicly, and have no excuses anymore. Like it or not, this is a performance-based profession, and unfair or not, the expectations match your pedigree. We're hoping for the best from you, even your detractors; criticism will evaporate once you lead your team to sustained success.

@richardclark1127
@richardclark1127 8 ай бұрын
Kyler get WAY too much hate. Let's talk contract. Kyler got paid after 3 seasons. Josh Allen got paid after 3 seasons. You know who had better stats than Josh Allen after 3 seasons? Kyler Murray. Allen through 3 seasons : 61.8% completion 9707 yards 67 TDs 31 INTs 90.4 rating 1562 rushing on 300 carries (5.2 avg) and 25 TDs Kyler through 3 seasons: 66.9% completion 11480 yards 70 TDs 34 INTs 93.9 rating 1786 rushing on 314 carries (5.7 avg) and 20 TDs So why shouldn't Kyler have gotten paid market value? Win/loss record? Ok. He and Burrow are the only 2 of the 9 200M dollar QBs that took over the worst teams in the league. And though Burrow has been better, he wasnt paired with a losing college coach that couldnt win with Patrick Mahomes and a defensive coordinator that just recently gave up 700+ yards and 70 points in 1 game. All the other QBs got drafted into better (and in some cases MUCH better) situations. Jalen Hurts for example has a top 5 OL, DL, WR/TE core, and CBs. Mahomes got to take over a ready made playoff team. Lamar took over one of the best run teams out there that perennially contends. All things aren't equal. Hell, lets compare just 2 Cardinals QBs that started 57 games. Kurt Warner's record (with better personnel around him) went 27-30. Murray went 25-31-1. Murray is 1 loss worse than beloved Cardinal Kurt Peyton Manning after 4 seasons was only .500....but wait, that must mean playoffs are the reason Kyler is overhated...well, lets look at that Herbert still has 0 playoff wins, Lamar only has 1. Hell, Peyton Manning didnt win his first playoff game until his 6th season in the NFL. In his 5th season he was blown out by the Jets 41-0. Attitude. I will give you this one. He needs to work on it. However, I would say look at what he was before coming into the league, He is arguably the best Texas high school player OF ALL TIME. Heisman trophy winner. #1 draft pick. top 10 pick in another sport. Rookie of the Year followed by 2 pro bowls. Everything came easy to him, so why would he have thought he needs to change? I do believe that having the game taken from him has humbled him, gave him time to gets his priorities straight. Kyler isnt overrated (if anything, he is underrated at this point as people have done nothing but bash him for a year), but definitely over hated. He is young and can mature. He isnt a 35 year veteran stuck in his ways like Cutler o the Dolphins or something.

the baker comp isnt fair (you also ignored rushing numbers) anyone that knows football knows those browns roster were 2x more talented than anything the cardinals have ever rolled out there for kyler. They got him a star player (Hop) and that is basically it. One thing I dont get when hating on the contract is that the contract hasnt even kicked in officially lol. So yea they are both poverty franchises but the talent those browns teams had was top caliber. At key imporant positions mind you. Really look at those cardinals rosters and you will see glaring holes every single year. U put any QB (including mahomes) here I promise you they have a losing record over the same time. They'd be jsut liek him, putting up good numbers, but not winning games. This franchise is truly pathetic. Ur seriously just under estimating how little talent this guy has worked with compared to his peers. NFL rosters need to be built 1-53. Even the year they started 7-0 that roster was bottom 10 if u truly got into the details on paper.

That's true, I didn't include it because Kyler runs a lot of designed runs, where Baker doesn't. But Baker's rushing numbers aren't too shabby either, they just don't use him like Kyler. I think you're hyping up that 2020 browns team, where they had just 3 pro bowlers, go take a look they were definitely not top caliber. Steve Keim drafted terribly and brought in band-aids to fix major holes, but ultimately I don't think anyone is going to be a winner under Kliff Kingsbury's gimmicky offense!

One man or an entire incompetent organization? The Cardibals (my team, btw) are the oldest and also the all-time most losing team of all time, factually. The Bidwill family are football terrorists, and our GMs up until this point have been at best mediocre and at worst shit shows. With that being said, i think he was used to his physical talent being enough to win games but this injury has forced him to sit down and contemplate the possibility that his athleticism A) may not always be there and B) you better find more ways to win. He already in one game back looks different - there were multiple throws that showed he understood the concepts of the play, learned to stick to his proper progressions, and read the D much better than he had before. If he really has improved mentally, and clearly retained his athleticism after the acl injury, then he may end up being worth that contract and far more. Lets just hope the Cards org actually builds smartly this time. For once.

"Just win" thats it? Imagine carrying a historically poverty franchise to the playoffs and making two probowls, winning rookie of the year, becoming the first player in NFL history with 70+ passing TDs and 20+ rushing TDs in his first three seasons, and being told "just win" for public acceptance. While playing for the team who's owner has multiple scandals against him, and Steve Keim who's historically ran star players out of Arizona (Tyrann Mathieu, Calais Campbell, Pat Pete, Bruce Arians, etc.) on top of getting arrested for a DUI. Mahomes has Kelce(Top 5 TE of all time) and Andy Reid, Jalen Hurts has the best oline in the game, and one of the best receiving cores in the league, along with a good defense. We see it with the analysis of these different quarterbacks also.
