Thank you Jordan. It would be good for you to link up with Tim from Eggchasers again and make a video. You two are great together. Have some fun in the sun in Durban and have a nice debonned mutton bunny chow. Interesting times ahead with the new playing style. Our kicker whoever he is must get most penalties over.

I think Springboks could put a spin on their game...first half new style...second half mix of new and old...bring Pollard in second half to save if we are lagging to save us maybe with his excellent drop kicks or penalty kicks...every player in the pack brings a special skill and play an integral part in this team...but ja...just an idea in order for our opponents not to be able to get a good read on us.

That’s actually pretty genius … I like where you’re going with this. As long as we can convert those attacks into points in the first half. Would be frustrating kicking for touch every time we get a penalty and potentially lose several 3 point conversion attempts. But yah so many ways to skin a cat but this idea is good. We have depth and so many different skill sets so we have the luxury to concoct a nice complex formula

Pollard won't be dropped, because they would rather coach him to attack and still have the kicking accuracy of him. Good to see a different style, and the mix of the defence game and the new attack game will be able to provide more chances for the midfield and wings.

100% Pollard is still the man, look even Faf picks up from the ruck and runs forward before offloading more he didn’t use to do that as much. This is Pollard’s first test back since the WC he will be abit fatigued and rusty but he is still in the team either 15 or 23.

Pollard has a good attacking game. Just go look back when he played U20. He played according to the game plane the Boks wanted/needed. Pollard will slot back into his original attacking game plan like he did in the U20 team

Other than his goal kicking, Pollard wasn't bad, a simple posture adjustment and he'll be slotting them through. Although many say Libbok is better suited for this type of play, I think it's work in progress and it's too early to say, hence why it's the same squad selection for the Durban test. Remember when Rassie selected the squad that the fans wanted, can't remember who they played but they didn't perform well. I'm just going to trust the coaching staff that they know what they doing. Boks need to patch a few things up and they should've had a bigger lead in the first half. The 2 teams are so close on paper and I think it will come down to who's got the better boot on the day. It's going to be a tough test and then we will see all the newbies get their chance to shine against Portugal and Sacha is definately on the cards to be the next upcomming No10 for the Boks.

It was only the first game since the World Cup, it is still early with new coaching staff. Let's give everyone a fair chance to adapt to new systems. If our style of play is attack through spreading the ball over kicking then Grant and Manie should be starting, if we want the best of both then Sacha is our best bet but it's still too early for him plus he is not even playing 10 at his Union. I still feel Roos at 8, Grant at 9 and Manie at 10 with a 5/3 bench split would have been perfect. Kwagga is great but his best position is 6 or coming off the bench with Faf, Pollard and Sacha completing the bench but Rassie knows best and in him we trust!

I was thinking about this question and said to my self lets see in Durban. I came to the conclusion that we need Handre in the game but why not get a "bomb squad" replacement for him. The first name that came to mind is Johan Goosen excellent attacking player and good goal kicker. Manie is definitely a option but kicking is letting him down. Or maybe move Handre to 12 in last 20 min and above mentioned to 10 then kicking game is still covered.

Everybody's kinda silent on Pollard's mediocre performance against Ireland, playing and kicking. Libbok has already proven himself as an attacking flyhalf. And if his kicking remains to be a problem, the new talent Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu on inside centre can take the pressure off Libbok. Manie has already proven himself as an excellent attacking flyhalf.

Russie’s a genius’s he could have picked libbok for this test but he didn’t because Handre is our number one fly half yes libbok is flashy and looks really strong in attack but there is just something special about Handre just the way he plays the game he’s just so consistent of the tee and in game management like he almost never makes the wrong call with ball in hand and I truly believe Tony brown and russie perfer Handre over all the other guys that’s why they chose him for this test because they want him to learn this game style so he can adapt and lmaybe just unlock some form of attacking rugby we all think he doesn’t have

Jordan with no disrespect if you know your rugby Pollard has always been a attacking flyhalf and thats how he used to play.He then changed and played to the new bok gameplan .Please understand that Pollard has a allround game and is big and can play a direct attacking game drawing in defenders .Secondly if you understand rugby at all a great flyhalf is not just good when his pack is going forward. Pollard can control the game even if his pack is going backwards. Plus he is a strong defender .Lastly i like your channel but at least make statements that are true , to say sacha is bigger is a lie , Pollard is 2 kgs heavier and also slightly taller , yeah maybe he is a bit quicker .Lastly Pollard is only 30 years old so he will be 33 when the next world cup comes along .This man has won 1 under 20 world cup and played in 3 world cups for the bok team winning 2and in a narrow 20 point to 18 loss against Nz of which he kicked 15 of the 18 points .He was the player of the under 21 tournament and the top points scorer in the 2019 world cup .He never missed 1 kick out of all the games in 2023 world cup .Please don't tell me you think Rassie would not play Pollard ahead of all the other flyhalf options when the man has a track record like that and is injury free .Also you talking last week about playing Evan Roos ahead of Kwagga is a bit silly .Jasper when back from suspension will start and Kwagga will come off the bench .Evan is a great player but has discipline issues and tries to do to much by himself. Rassie chooses players who put the team first .And i may be wrong but when Cameron Hanekom has recovered from his injury,Rassie may blood him to be the next number 8 .

Pollard is Mr Reliable on both sides of the ball, Libbok is proven unreliable. The others need to be tested under true pressure of contested test rugby, this start of a new world cup cycle is the time to do it now that Ireland has been fronted up to by the experienced squad. I think Faf comes into the question equation as soon as you base the game around less kicking. You don't need experienced kicking pivots at both 9 and 10 to anchor around.

Mate I am concerned that a kiwi is gonna try make the Boks play kiwi rugby island style , the kiwis haven’t won a RWC since I can remember we are ranked number one in the world why do we need to make big changes ? 😮 Sure I understand to stay top dog Rassie needs to keep ahead of the pack but to change what has worked for us , isn’t that a gamble ? Has Rassie run out of ideas ? Is it because SA is breeding world class wingers left right and centre and it’s wise to use them as a weapon ,combine them with our forwards so that they start dominating world rugby if so RWC ,s or also in between RWC,s ? Lots to think about ! 😮😂

Fair point, but it makes sense to continue playing the same way to gain some consistency and get sharper ahead of the Rugby Championship. We all saw that the new system needs a few more tweaks, but knowing Rassie, we may just revert to our old style of play to confuse the enemy and keep em on their toes wondering what's next. Guess we'll see on Saturday.

@@mag101able I don't think the shark tank lends itself well to that style of game. Also I think Rassie wants to send a message that not only does he have the depth in terms of selection, but he can also pick the same exact team and play a totally different game style two games in a row. If they pull it off, the rest of the rugby world will have a hard time preparing for a springbok game
