9:56 if we consider mechanical load, equipment takes current based on the load. If 2.3kW load is connected to a motor, it takes input as vi cos€. If cos€ is low, it takes more current. If we improve cos€, current will get reduced for sure in this case. But anyway power consumption is same. So there is no savings in EB bill. Only advantage is, amount of current going through switches, equipment’s are low. So we can buy switches(mcb, mccb etc) with lesser rating. Conclusion: It will reduce current for certain loads. It will not reduce MW consumption. EB will charge everyone for Watts consumption. Not for Current consumption. So literally no use. Edit: + user needs to pay bill for the Watts consumed by this device also (though it may be low).

If you all want to reduce eb bill in your please use the constant voltage level 230v in single phase and 440v in three phase this help you to reduce the energy bill.

Bro..adding capacitor will not increase the kW demand, the formula you used, is to calculate the rating of the load. It is not correct to use that power formula to show operating kW will increase if pf is improved. (When pf improves, amp will be decreased, since kVA is decreasing, kW remain constant). However, you are right, we cant reduce power bill by adding capacitor as we pay in terms of kW consumption not kVAR consumption.

நண்பரே, மும்முனை (3 phase ) AC மின் சுற்றில் மோட்டார் இயக்கத்தில் (Reactive power ஏற்படுத்தும் மின் பளு) இருக்கும் போது அங்கு 2.5 HP க்கு 1 Kvar என்ற விகிதத்தில் மின் ஏற்பி (Capacitor) இணைத்தால் ஒரு வேளை Cos Theta (PF) 0.85 இருந்தால், capacitor இணைத்த பிறகு அங்கு PF 0.95 to 0.99 கூட கிடைக்கும். PF குறையும் பொழுது மின் ஓட்டம் (Current) அதிகரிக்கும். 1.732X400X4.5X0.85=2650 வாட்ஸ் உபயோகிக்கும். அதே இடத்தில் நல்ல தரமான, சரியான அளவுள்ள மின் ஏற்பி பொருத்தினால் 1.732X400X3.8X0.98= 2580 வாட்ஸ் மட்டுமே அளவிடும். மின் ஏற்பி பொருத்திய பிறகு 2650 -2580=70 வாட்ஸ் வரை மின் பளு குறையும். மேலும் மின் இழப்பு (Reactive Power) வெகுவாக குறைந்து மின் அழுத்தம் (Voltage) சமனாக இருக்கும். மின் சேதாரம் இருக்காது. 12% இல் இருந்து 18% வரை மின்சேமிப்பு இருக்கும். இது ஒரு முனை இணைப்பில் பெரிய வித்தியாசத்தை ஏற்படுத்தாது. மின் ஏற்பியும் மின் பளுவாக மாற வாய்ப்பு அதிகம்.
