Alright, if, based on last week’s video, estrogen does not cause breast cancer, could it be that progestogen causes breast cancer? What do the studies on women taking progestogens alone tell us about the role of progestogens in causing breast cancer? In this video, I’ll help you discover the answer.

I love knowing this argument. I know I don't know all there is to know, but I appreciate so very much that you've prepared us to evaluate information and data for ourselves. It's sad, but true that many drs. say many goofy things, and I now know how much weight to give their opinions. I'll be giving thanks for you this Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Dr. T.!

A little late, but I'm here! I was kicked off a FB hysterectomy group when some women were duped by doctors and gaslit by another member that both progestins an testosterone were vital and necessary. I chimed in and said we have no uterus so no need for Baby Bears progestins. Too many women there relied on compounded. On woman was in her 30s and had everything removed and didn't want to take estradiol because she didn't want to get breast cancer. I told her she needs it to prevent the big three. I told her if it csused cancer you'd see teenage girls and lots of women under 50 who've got breast cancer....she was stubborb...oh well, her life...

Menopause is the most neglected topic on Earth. And most women have fear due to one distorted study 22 years ago that the media used to scare the public. But fear is the most powerful emotion on Earth. People do not think in the midst of fear. They merely react to the fear.

Unrelated to this post but…I’ve been following you pretty much from your first video. Can’t help but share this with you as I can’t believe it myself!!! In Canada we are out of Estradot!!!! Out of stock since September and not expected to be back before middle of December. Meanwhile I was prescribed another company patch made in Canada and feel miserable. Apparently no other company here makes it other than these 2!!!! So I’m stuck!!!

Thank you. I understood the who study showed a 100% increase in breast cancer because the rate of breast cancer without HRT was 8 out of 10,000 & the rate of breast cancer with HRT increased to 16 out of 10,000. But when they looked at the facts of the study the increase was only in the population of those who took the combined formula of estradiol+progestagin. There was no increase in the rate of breast cancer in the population on estrogen alone. I thought this equaled progestagin was the cause of breast cancer. I didn't realize that the fact of progestagin having never been analyzed alone meant there was no data at all.

Never accuse something of being the "cause" of a disease unless it meets all the criteria for a "causative agent." Progesterone alone does not meet all the criteria.

So at 59 I was on a estrogen progesterone cream thru a company called Winona for a year it worked great for about 6 8 months but then it just didn’t work well for me at all after about 11 months in so I stopped it and went to my doctor and he put me on the combi patch but I’m still having major hot flashes however it’s only been a week so I’m praying this works 🙏 I just want to feel good again with no body aches or hot flashes !

Thank you very much for your priceless education! ❤ I have one question: is there any significant difference between brand name Prometrium and just generic micronized progesteron? My insurance does not cover Prometrium at 100% and it's quite expensive compare to generic one.What women say about these two products to you? Is it safe to switch without any additional symptoms? Great video! I am currently taking compounded progesterone. I’m taking It along with estrogen cream that is compounded as well. My dosage is 300mg of progesterone and my doctor thinks this is way too high but I have no side effects from it. I would like to lower the dosage but I know this cannot be done overnight. What are your thoughts???

Hello dear! Do you have a video on cortisol? I'm in peri and was told through futch test I had high levels certain parts of day. My estrogen is post menopause at 44! I was prescribed vivelle dot 1mg through my gynecologist with 200mg progesterone. I've suffered enough with hot flashes and fatigue. Is cortisol really a problem like they say it is ? I watched your video speaking about the dutch and I wish I didn't waste my money on it. Everyone saying it's the "gold standard "
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 7 ай бұрын
Nellie, Most of the time, the people telling you that your cortisol is a problem are NOT endocrinologists. They are usually alternative or wellness providers who know absolutely noting about cortisol (except how to use it in order to make money). If you want help determining what's really going on, just schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.

Most women have the misconception that progesterone “helps you sleep.” But the reality is not quite as advertised. Estrogen is actually the hormone that helps you sleep … like a baby, that is. Progesterone can help you sleep, but more like a zombie than a baby. Here are the facts: Insomnia is a symptom of estrogen deficiency. So if you take adequate estrogen, you will sleep deeply and continuously throughout the night and wake up perky and energetic in the morning. But if you take progesterone, things will be a bit different. Instead of just getting a good night’s sleep, it will make it difficult for you to wake up in the morning, make you feel sluggish when you do get up, and leave you feeling like a zombie all day. You’ll feel like you could sleep standing up. And you’ll have a hard time being productive. The reason women “hear” that they should take it at night is because the Alternative community claims that it helps you sleep. Progesterone gives you that all-day drugged, drowsy, you-could-sleep-while-standing-up feeling that is so characteristic of early pregnancy. With progesterone, you do not merely get a good night’s sleep. You get a sluggishness that lasts all day (which is good during pregnancy because it makes you lazy so that the baby gets more calories to grow). But now that you’re peri-or post-menopausal, you don’t want to be sluggish all day. So, if you want to sleep like a baby at night, take estrogen. If you want to be sluggish like a zombie all day, take progesterone.

Nothing about this education derives from what "I think." It's all about what "you think," given an unbiased education. My general principle is this: Any time you encounter anybody pushing or selling a product or a particular way of managing menopause ... run! That constitutes marketing, advertising, or propaganda. It is not education.

Is progesterone a form of testosterone? Or do we need to take both along with estrogen ?
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 7 ай бұрын
No. There are three sex hormones: Testosterone, Estrogen, and Progesterone. The three hormones are like The Three Bears in the fairy tale, Goldilocks and The Three Bears. You know how each bear had his or her own bed, chair, & bowl of porridge? Well, each hormone belongs to only one member of the family, just like each bed, chair, & bowl of porridge. Testosterone is the male hormone. It belongs to Papa Bear. Estrogen is the female hormone. It belongs to Mama Bear. Progesterone is the hormone of pregnancy. It belongs to Baby Bear. So, progesterone is NOT YOUR hormone. It's the baby's hormone. Pro -gester-one literally means "hormone in support of pregnancy.” (Pro = in support of, “gest” = gestation, or pregnancy, “one” = hormone) The ONLY reason you produce progesterone or ever needed progesterone was to support a pregnancy. While you have all three sex hormones in your body, the one that your body depends on more than anything is estrogen. You really should schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME and let me teach you everything BEFORE you approach any provide for HRT. I will arm you with what you need for success. I do them all online.
