One of the oldest questions when it comes to fishing is if size really matters... I took help from Johnny Kindt and Jurjen Wijnstroom from Ultimate Fishing to find out! (This was filmed in november as of 2019, before all this crazy stuff!) /Mille

Haha, I often catch 20cm zanders on 12cm baits.. and my PB zander which is 95cm went for 8cm bait while perch fishing.. size doesn't matter😀

Depends when you fish , summer smaller lures , autumn he will take small and big lures . Winter only big lures

i recon size does make a differences. problem is casting small lures especially light ones is a pain especially wen the fish r far feeding

Mille probably got a bit overexcited about that zander. it's most likely around 2 kilo, nonetheless it's a good fish and a cool video ;)

7-8kg for a 58cm Zander? :D My 95 had like 12 and was as fat as it could be. This one probably weights 1.8 to 2.4kg

Ловля в ответ это одно,но по классике(ступенькой) джигом, поймали бы значительно больше))плюс дополнительная анимация в виде подбросов во время проводки и всё))судака поймаете как грязи.

I honestly don't know how this works when I fish with 7 cm softbaits I catch more zander or even smaller ones but with 10 cm+ ones perch and pike just bite everything as usual

Veigo because the eyes come out when it is fished out of too much depths and the swimming bubble will be damaged. The fish will die. In Germany we call it “Trommelsucht“, absolutly not good. Take home such a Fish an have a nice Barbecue...👍

The depth limit is max. 10 m

Oliver Schwitalla the water where they are fishing is no deeper than 10m average. Maybe one or two spots are a few meters deeper but not where they are fishing in the clip.

@@peterspons1773 What Oliver describes is totally true and that "trommelsucht" can accure also from depths of 8 meters and occasionally less. But then its important how long the caught fish is already in such depths (or was even deeper before) AND how fast the angler reels the fish to the surface. Take such a fish home, even in the netherlands ;)

Do you really think the Zander or any fish , count cm ? 12.7 or 15.25.. no way. But if most people go for small lures just to secure a bite , the 4 inch will always be a winner...and most viral pics !

We fish zander pelagic with lures up to 25 cm. With small lures my tips are, use uv rattle n big paddle ... the zander can see Uv! And it fishes mainly by its linear organ , feeling things ! Cheers

I've started Zanderfishing with big lures past winter. Very slow spinfishing with 18cm paddletails, catching 70cm+ Zanders all day. Even in a meter of water on a shallow rig and they completely inhale the shad. Ergo; your shads are too small...😉😁

you will catch more on small one because most zanders wont be as big as pikes but the biggerone eat bigger baits
