You're number two option is wrong. The problem is infiniti won't up date this car and is keeping the same thing from 2015. The Q needs the new 9 speed to help the 3.0tt and a better limited slip differential. Plus a digital gauge custer like the new z and a new informant system.

That’s why they are cheap because you can’t sell the same car internally for years on years and not change anything

Number two is not wrong. SUVs and crossovers are becoming more popular and there are companies like Buick and Ford that no longer sell a sedan and the Chrysler 300 is supposed to be discontinued after 2024. GM only has three sedans in their lineup and VW and Mazda only have one.
@JMcK-ge6vv6 ай бұрын
@@bruhmanjonesss7779they haven't changed it because people aren't buying them. That is the same reason other automakers have or are discontinuing sedans and manual transmissions. Such a good looking sedan, and OP is absolutely correct about there not being enough sporty sedans anymore. I had a G37 and will probably buy another one or a 3.7 Q50 just for a reliable and fun DD. Oh and they’re RWD/AWD, not wrong wheel drive. I’d love a Chevy SS, but why when you can get a CTS-V2 for about the same? Chargers are nice but so heavy, German sedans are a little pricey , initial cost and upkeep. I don’t know personally how reliable the 3.0 Turbo engines are, but if you keep oil and water in a VQ37 it will run for a lot of hard miles. My last one had over 200k and didn’t use more than half a quart of oil between changes, and never any issues.

I have owned the 2015 3.0 300 awd sport (ice blue). Loved this car so much, I got the q50 redsport awd in 2019. Zero problems. Just maintain it when it tells you too, plus maintenance for Japanese is relatively low $ and widely available. Some updates would be nice: - upgrade to the 9 speed twin turbo - updated 360 camera - add back the spare tire package (had this in my 2015) - Get rid of the Dunlop sport max run flats (they are outdated, expensive, noisy and don’t last that long), Michelin Allseason 4, Pilot Sport Summer, Pirelli or Continental etc. - ventilated seats - update the infotainment, i don’t mind the dual screens but it looks dated now. - electric parking brake - digital rear view mirror Nothing on the list is all that extreme. Too late, the car’s last year now. Unless they decide to move away from EV (slow selling) I think a lot of people bought the 4 cylinder which was for some years a Mercedes engine, hence a lot of the mix up the reliability here.

I bought a 2014 Q50s Hybrid, and I had a lot of issues with the DAS system, but once they replaced the modules with water resistant adhesive, I NEVER had any issues outside of wear and tear. Drove that thing to 220k KM, and it was a great vehicle for me. I agree, a lot of the hate tends to be based on the driver, but the car itself was the best bang for the buck against luxury Japanese makers (TLX and IS). I'll be keeping an eye out for the redesign and would consider it again with a new redesign. Thanks OP for making a level headed video about this.

Unfortunately Infiniti as a brand isn't doing well and my dealership experience wasn't great, either but the car is fantastic. I've owned it since new. Actually, I first leased it, then bought it after the lease term. There was also a lot of criticism from the automotive press about the infotainment and touch screens but I couldn't care less. It's super comfortable, more than quick enough for me, has very effortless acceleration (I can only imagine the 400 hp version!!!) and is by far the best car I've ever owned. It's a great car. I love Infiniti Q 50s and my cousin owns a nicely modified one. The only downside of it is them depreciating in price fairly quickly so I would suggest you purchase a used one and bargain.

My 2 gripes as a q50 owner -Interior hasn’t updated since 2015 -the transmission is kinda ass. The 7 speed sometimes struggles to pick one gear and stay in it

I love these cars and really desire to own one some day. And they are extremely popular where I live. They're EVERYWHERE. 😂

Down here in South Florida, these are the upgrades for hood dudes who once drove the legendary Altimas 😂 Also, for those that can't get their hands on the scats and hell cats etc. I like the car but I can't deal with the BS stereotypes down my end. So, I will just avoid it.

As a G37S SEDAN OWNER (6spd), the mistake w/ the Q50 is no manual option! 2. NISSAN/INFINITI ALWAYS PUNKS OUT ON POWER & TORQUE. 3 LASTLY, INFINITI SHOULD KEPT THIS A G... NOT A Q

Just got rid of Q50. Was leasing and after seeing no more updates or a new Gen from Infiniti, I decided to move on to a better luxury car. I miss it and it was fun to drive but feel like they are becoming the new Altimas that anyone can get their hands on.

these would be dangerous in the hands of altima drivers but you might be right

They can be nice if they aren’t made to look like a ricer which is unfortunately very common in places like NY.
