When you move left but aren't changing ball, I assume you are taking off ball speed. Do you have any strategies to maintain a specific lower (more un-natural) speed or do you struggle with low-speed inconsistency (as I do)

Yup and probably a slight change of hand position too. For me, GAINING ball speed was a struggle instead of backing off. But inconsistency in ball speed usually means that you are using your upper body to generate the speed through muscle/holding the ball back instead of harder knee and hip drive into the lane, and softer knee and hip drive into the lane. Cause ya cant repeat the same shot over and over again if its muscled because you can never re-create that same muscle feel shot to shot.

Yes, speed in all in the legs. slower walk = slower ball speed. Typically, the more left you are the slower you want to be. Consistency just takes practice. I like Specto, since it can get your ball speed off your hand, and not by the pins like most other systems. Thanks for watching @Anders-B!! 😀😀

@@bam5561 It is interesting you say that, as I find generating more ball speed with a forced (muscled) swing more consistent than through my foot speed. I find that changing or increasing my foot speed often affects my swing timing too negatively, yet as you say, slowing my swing down using less force is too difficult to maintain consistently. More often than not, If I need to start playing deeper and further left, I will change balls. These days i'm using a lot of Urethane, it keeps me fairly consistent over house and sport shots and my transition is often right, into a weaker urethane, than moving right, but I would like to improve my control going left.

I used my typical urethane layout- 4x4x5 2LS. It gets a good about of flare. I might try something weaker and see if it flares less to play a little straighter. Thanks for watching @joeynguyen1124!! 😀😀
