Hi Evan, how are you? I’m in the market to buy an used BMW and of course I’m exhaustingly researching about mileage blockers. You say Carly detects it because this mile blockers only stop the cluster but it does not stop the Key or ECU to continue counting the miles…a lot of people in the forums say these block at all levels, being undetectable by any machine or software if a car had previously been working on one of those, specifically if the previous owner took it off. Have you detected any car with Carly? Do you know anyone that has detected? Thank you

Would a mileage blocker cause for a shops scanner not to connect to the car? Took the car to get the rear breaks changed and they couldn't connect to put the rear brake motor into "service mode"

Hey Evan, great clip. Would the mileage on the key be correct then and just the dash is wrong with one of these blockers?

it's the CAS that writes it to the key - so if the CAS has changed then the data on the key will have changed as well

I can see it from both ways but then again you buy a used car that’s trash not showing it’s trash because the dealership not telling you the truth about it now you drove it for a couple miles or thousands it fucks up now you have to pay outta your pocket because the warranty doesn’t cover it you take it to a dealership the only 2 your warranty allows they steal from you and your car still broke and you ran out of money because you can’t repair what they claim they fix your engine completely stops working …. It’s like what do you do ? Have no car ? And suffer because they both stole from you

Bought my car 12 months ago it’s now due it’s first service so I’ve tried locating service history with bmw as I was told by the dealer history its on bmw’s system, any way long story short the car never had history like it was advertised and now I’ve checked government mot certificates and in 1 year my car done 30 miles???!! This dealer is not a bmw dealership just private guys with lots of stock etc. is there a way I can Pursue compensation?

I don’t think you can do anything about mileage, they could turn around say this car was for sale for a year, but if they advertised as full service history there should be a way

Beware of those scammers, they hind like rats, act as rats. They are selling junk without any claimed function, cause lots of warning lights on dash. They reject returned parcel, refuse to refund.

you need i guess the official software from that manufacture to look for every millage recorded and try to find a flaw

Very common to find lease turn ins with these or faults showing the car had one installed.

No way. I got screwed once and they didn’t want to pursue anything since they didn’t catch the person in action and the car was always sold and traded hands
