Cannon has an EMP lock. It has the Electronic Touch Pad with a dial back up. I was talking to the President of Cannon last year right after it came out and he said they created it for EMP/CME and Loss of Power situations.

I used faraday cloth and have it tightly held to the entire outside frame of the safe door with magnets. Covered the rubber gaskets with copper tape as well. I feel that it is sufficient enough protection.

How about a microwave as a Faraday cage? I've heard that, because they can contain short-wavelength microwaves, they will also keep out the longer wavelength EMP pulses. Any idea if this is true?
