I was born in 72 and still wear stone island. I had a fila bj at 9. Burberry Armani and aquascutum soon after. Pop 84, matinique, ton sur ton chipie etc used it pick up my clothes in 2 shops in petticoat lane really great shops forgot what they were called , soon after got my first stone island the best make of early 80s for me was Ciao, ball jeans, wac, which was welcome to atomic city. I had loads of cp and stone island from 18 used to go to wood house and John Anthony mostly and copper fields in St Albans and a few others , used to love it. I always associated it with the early raves I went to and didn’t really care for football so didn’t really know the associations there. I thought football fans were nobs. Now I wear cp, shadow project and ghost w some stone island pieces , I am a little embarrassed by the badge but sometimes wear it still it depends. A lot of the stone island style is lost on the English , and the youth of today, it’s an Italian thing and used to be worn smart but hip hop with there over the top slogan big brand clothing and baggy jeans hasn’t helped , stone island still makes some great pieces the pricing seems mad these days but that’s probably something to do with my age and inflation. I used it like saving up for a piece and there is no other brand that felt as good when getting it home laying it on the bed and putting it on for a night out, stone island just did it! What’s with hose shiny moncler jackets they are nasty as … I have aprox 40 stone island jackets mostly shadow stuff a wax leather 2 mil spec ghosts , opak, various other things, the cp tracery looks good I have one of these a half leather mille and a red mille 2021, I like to keep my stuff modern so rotate the older stuff that doesn’t get wear , in my town I felt like I was stone island , i like hunk I was the first person with it here , it looks good on older people , there is a good channel on KZfaq some French guy working in a Boston shop, he is in his 50s and it all looks great on him, and Carlo river to etc , it looks pretty good on older people I think I think stone island should use some older models sometime.

It is very funny how I love brands such as Stone Island, etc... I know a lot of the history, and the culture behind these brands, but i do not own a single piece except for a cool SI short i found for 40€. At my school and in my city in general, people wear amazing brands such as Stone Island, C.P Company, etc but probably don’t even know who Massimo Osti is. They just wear it for the badge, and they mostly buy the shittiest pieces (IMO), usually simple jackets with ugly chrome zippers, while for the same price they could buy an amazing vintage item... Anyways, this just made me kind of mad but who am I to judge especially if i don’t own a good piece anyway? :(

This is awesome but everytime I see old vintage Stone Island jackets online I usually ignore them but this video makes me more interested in them. Despite what people say I think some of the new jackets are still good because you still have innovative materials such as the soft shells and the newer season pixel reflective jackets. Getting bored of the usual washed/dyed sweatshirts unless they have a more interesting colour or design like a lilac or bright camo
