In this video I’m going to be firing up a new design of vanlife or RV power vent fan. In the past I have always installed maxx air fans and never used a rain sensor…or a remote for that matter. This new fan by 2012 has both and a few more unique features. Let’s see how hard this fan blows 😂✌️

Ok, checked it out. Looks like it’s in the same price range as the Maxxair fan? Can you please explain the difference and which one you’d pick? I’m probably going towards Maxxair only because of its popularity. I’d be more inclined to try the one in your review if there was a significant difference in price. $$$

I personally have always used max air fans. They are a great choice.

Yes, my fan looks very much like that and closes when it rains. It does not have controls on the fan itself and only works with the remote. It's a Fantastic Fan. I got confused wiring it as I assumed black would be negative.

Hey thank you for a great review! Can’t believe how quiet and powerful it is. Very interested once you showed that it has a micro open mode, game changer for using it in the U.K.! Can it run at a higher output level when in micro open mode or is it limited?,

Not to sound dumb.. but as I prepare for van life this is my biggest concern: if it’s raining and this shuts down, you don’t have air flow? I’m assuming this is what allows air into your van while sleeping, right? Lol I sound so fully, but I genuinely don’t understand how one gets fresh air into a van while sleeping, especially if it’s raining. And does it run on a battery? Does driving charge the battery? What if I was camped for three nights without driving? Is this where solar panels come in? So many newb q’s! Hope you’ll help me understand

You should buy a max air fan. That’s the brand I have. It allows you to run the fan while it’s raining. The lid design prevents rain from entering

Fantastic Fan is old technology? Shoot. I bought fantastic fans for my cargo trailer conversion. One has a rain sensor, one don't. Haven't yet installed them (I'm a bit nervous cutting into my roof... Lol).

@@nomadbrad503 Nah. It's actually pretty small. It's 6x12. Towable with my little V6 Explorer.

DriveDusty 12’ is a good size, and how nice to be able to unhitch and drive the explorer into town
